This week has been target week!

🎯 Together, we've been breaking down targets into steps, looking at non linear progress and playing games that showed us how to make targets easier, harder, smaller or bigger.

💻 Members also spent time updating the computer system and their folders which was a great help!

🌹On Monday, Mia, Owais and Joey watered up in the garden and planted some lilies and rescue roses!

💐 We also spent some time making our flower petal confetti, peeling spuds and having a go making our own bracelets!

🥧 Albert made a divine looking pie (which is gluten free too!), Lucy did a fab job dishing up dinners at JHQ and Adam made a stunning carrot cake for his dad's birthday 🥳

🎄 At Pulp & Prints Members painted their salt dough christmas shapes with festive colors, and Claire designed some beautiful greetings cards this afternoon.

☕ And we're delighted to share that Pulp & Prints coffee bar will be back open from Tuesday - we can't wait to welcome everyone back!

This week has been full of fun, laughter and special moments☺️

🎼 Our focus at the training hub has been Music!

🥁 We've played percussion and rhythm games, listened to music from around the world and played some fantastic online games to help us learn about the different instruments!

🎺 We were very lucky to have a visit from Rachel, who showed us their brass instruments! Christina said there was "lots of sing along, head bopping and stomping of feet by all" 🥳

🎧 Throughout the week Members have been contributing to our very own 'Pulp Friction Playlist', we had some karaoke and enjoyed a DJ workshop!

👩‍🍳 Members at JHQ have been working really hard this week! Including brilliant teamwork from Nicholas and Lucy filling the chiller and a fabulous job dishing up dinner by Lucy!

🔪 With Pulp & Prints being closed to the public due to no hot water being, we've been thinking of different ways to keep busy! Like focussing on kitchen safety - we've answered quiz questions about the kitchen and played a few kitchen “hazard” awareness games to keep our knowledge up-to-date!

🍹And on Wednesday, a group of us managed the smoothie bike at the NET family day, which was a lot of fun too!

Happy Sunday ☀️

🦴 Our topic at the training hub this week was Healthy Bodies!

Say hello to Eric the skeleton! 👋

🫁 Throughout the week we've learned about different parts of the body - where they are, what they do, and how to keep them healthy. We acted out the digestive system, got out for walks, and did some seated spine mobility exercises. We even played a 'pin the organ to the body's game, and found some online games all about gut and dental health!

Members were brilliant at sharing how to care for each body part and organ!

🍎 James, Iram, Michelle H and Ivan got stuck in looking at healthy food options while menu planning.

👣 At Pulp & Prints, we were all out of hot water, so seized the moment for some travel training and a tasty picnic at Highfields Park!

🎄 We also got ahead of ourselves, making some Christmas ornaments! What do you think, are we too early?😅

💐 On Monday, Regan made origami dogs with Trevor, Mia knocked up more of her iconic egg muffins, and Owais and Joey made some beautiful flower arrangements!

🥊 On Tuesday, we were very lucky to have a visit from the red knights kickboxing club who, together with Regan, ran a 12-hour sponsored kickboxing event. They raised an incredible £1400 for Pulp Friction! A big thank you to the team🥳

🥇 We also had a fantastic visit from gold-medal winning Paralympian athlete, Paul Williams! Members shared with him their favourite sports and activities, and we discussed how health, bodies and movement comes in all shapes and sizes!

🌲 On Thursday some Members attended a very hot event at Forest Recreation Ground 🫠

🎂 And of course we sang a very happy birthday to Molly! We hope she's having a lovely time celebrating 🥳
