Removing barriers. Providing Opportunity. ✨

Through our latest grant, Skills and Education Group Foundation has already supported 30 Pathway to work students from Leicester College to take part in valuable work experience.

Many of these students face significant economic and learning challenges, but with the Foundation’s support, they were able to complete outdoor work placements, which increase skills, confidence and links with employers.

We’re proud to support projects that help learners develop life skills and help them transition into employment.

Helen Lewis, Director of Supported and Inclusive Learning at Leicester College commented:
“The PPE is already having an impact, and students are feeling equipped and ready to do work skills, volunteering and community placements. Thank you!”

At Skills and Education Group, we are proud to provide pronoun pins for our staff.

Pronoun pins are a simple but meaningful way to help create an inclusive and welcoming environment. They allow people to share how they would like to be addressed, reduce assumptions and show respect for everyone's identity.

By wearing pronoun pins, our staff help foster a culture where everyone feels seen, valued and supported. Inclusion starts with small actions, and together we can create spaces where everyone belongs. 💜

Every year, Pride Month brings important conversations, increased visibility and public support for the LGBTQ+ community. But true inclusion isn't something that should only be celebrated for one month of the year.

In our latest blog, we explore why year-round inclusion matters and the practical steps Skills and Education Group has taken to create a workplace where everyone feels respected, valued and able to be their authentic selves.

From introducing pronouns in email signatures and creating pronoun badges to ensuring systems reflect chosen names and supporting transgender colleagues with inclusive facilities, our commitment is built on meaningful action rather than temporary gestures.

Because inclusion isn't a campaign. It's a culture.

Building Better Support for Neurodivergent Lives🎙️

In Episode 2, we’re rethinking neurodiversity and what it means to build truly inclusive environments.

Joe McLoughlin is joined by Emma Eager and Emily Abbott, co-founders of The Autism Wellbeing Project, who share powerful insights on supporting neurodivergent learners and colleagues. From lived experience to practical strategies, this conversation is packed with ideas that can make a real difference.

It all comes back to one simple approach: Ask, Listen, Do.

Because inclusion done right doesn’t just change outcomes, it changes lives.
