Meet our speaker, Emma Jones!

We're delighted to welcome Emma Jones, an experienced SENCo, SEND consultant and lecturer in Education, to our upcoming Understanding Learners with Specific Literacy and Numeracy Difficulties CPD session.

Drawing on her expertise in inclusive education, mental health and dyslexia support, Emma has worked with learners of all ages and is passionate about helping educators create learning environments where everyone can thrive.

During this session, Emma will explore how specific literacy and numeracy difficulties can present in different learning environments and share practical strategies to help educators better support learner success.

Campaigns, confidence and the importance of switching off. ⭐

It’s been another busy month in Zach's apprenticeship, from completing a two day course focused on Executing Successful Campaigns, to planning and evaluating a three day social media campaign across Skills and Education Group.

Some lessons can't be taught in a classroom.

For 32 ESOL learners at Boston College UK , many of whom have built new lives in the UK after relocating from around the world, a Foundation-funded trip to London was far more than a day away from the classroom.

Visiting iconic landmarks such as the British Museum , the Houses of Parliament and the Tower of London brought their studies to life, helping them better understand the history, culture and identity of the country they now call home. The experience inspired curiosity, deepened understanding and helped create a stronger sense of belonging.

As we celebrate the people, places, and communities that make Nottinghamshire unique, we're delighted to share that we've secured funding through Nottingham City Council's Community Cohesion Fund for our Respect and Belonging in Nottingham project.

We've already taken the first steps, bringing colleagues together for an Ideation session exploring how the campaign can help build stronger connections, promote understanding and foster a greater sense of belonging across Nottingham.
