Nottinghamshire Hospice

Nottinghamshire Hospice Nottinghamshire Hospice is a charity providing end of life care for adults in Nottinghamshire. Please help if you can, thank you for all you do.

We’re the leading charitable provider of palliative and end of life care in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. We offer support where it might seem there is no hope and we provide care at times and places you thought would not be possible. We listen to your fears, help you cope and bring realistic hope that tomorrow can be a better day. We recognise it’s a real privilege to be part of the last stage

of someone’s life – the last hours and minutes – and our aim is to make them the best they can be for you and all those around you. Our Hospice is alongside you when you need us, we’re your experts from the moment you learn that your illness cannot be cured or will not improve and we will help you in all the ways you need with compassion, acceptance, resilience and empathy. Each and every year we need to raise nearly £3million to meet the needs of patients with terminal and life-limiting illness and their loved ones. We achieve this through the kindness and generosity of people in communities across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire who recognise the difference our work makes.

🌟 Meet our Hospice Heroes! 🌟

We are absolutely over the moon to introduce Joshua, Zac and their brilliant friends, who organised an incredible cake sale and fundraiser in honour of their grandma, who loved attending our wellbeing sessions.

These amazing young fundraisers baked and sold cakes and treats, crafted handmade cards, and put together mystery "blind bags" which raised a phenomenal £200! 🎂💛

We had the pleasure of welcoming them to our West Bridgford community shop to present them with their very well-deserved Hospice Hero medals. We think you'll agree they look incredibly proud - and they should be!

Thank you, Joshua, Zac and friends. Your kindness, creativity and generosity mean the world to us and to every family we support. You truly are heroes. 🏅

You can still be part of the meadow 🌻

Our digital sunflower meadow lets you dedicate a sunflower online, from wherever you are. Add a name, a message, or a memory, and see it bloom alongside others.
Together, we’re creating something beautiful, while helping families stay together at home.

It was the nights that were hardest.
💬 “We were doing everything we could in the day, but overnight… we struggled.”

Dorothy became anxious and unsettled, and her family were exhausted... Then our nurses stepped in. That support meant Dorothy could stay at home, where she wanted to be.

💬 “I don’t know what we would have done without them.”

🌻 Read Dorothy's story, told by her granddaughter Kimberly, on our blog: https://www.nottshospice.org/kimberlys-family-support-sunflower-appeal-in-memory-of-dorothy/

Raised from a raffle they held recently, this generous contribution will make such a difference to our patients and their families. Peter, the representative from the Masons is also a regular volunteer at our Ruddington Community Shop, so we met at the shop to accept the cheque.
