Infant Mental Health Awareness Week

Minding Mammy Mental Health Programme

Supporting Mothers Supports Babies

As Infant Mental Health Awareness Week comes to a close, we recognise that attunement flourishes when parents feel supported too.

The Minding Mammy Mental Health Programme provides a safe space for mothers to focus on their own emotional wellbeing, connect with others, and access support when needed.

When mothers are cared for, they are often better able to tune into their baby’s needs and enjoy those important moments of connection. Supporting maternal mental health is an important part of supporting infant mental health.

Healthy relationships begin with compassion—for ourselves and for each other.

“Attunement is not about getting it right all the time. It’s about noticing, responding, reconnecting, and growing together. Thank you to all the families who joined us this week as we celebrated the importance of nurturing strong, responsive relationships in the earliest years of life.” 💚

Breastfeeding Support Group

Responding to Baby’s Needs

Breastfeeding is about more than nutrition; it is also a relationship-building experience.

Through feeding, parents learn to recognise and respond to their baby’s cues for hunger, comfort, closeness, and reassurance. Each feeding interaction offers opportunities for eye contact, touch, communication, and connection.

Our Breastfeeding Support Group provides a welcoming space where parents can build confidence, receive support, and strengthen their relationship with their baby.
