These aren’t just delays. They impact people’s jobs, confidence, and independence.

If this is affecting you, we’d love to hear your experience.

With the warm weather this Bank Holiday weekend, please remember to take care of yourself and the people around you.

Drink plenty of water, stay cool in shaded areas, wear light clothing, and don’t forget your sunscreen. Please also make sure pets have access to water and shade during the hotter parts of the day.

Wishing everyone a safe and relaxing Bank Holiday weekend from all of us at deafPLUS services.

Today we delivered an exciting Deaf Awareness talk and basic BSL workshop to senior staff at Bromley College, with professionals from Greenwich College attending too.

It was lovely to see everyone so engaged, asking thoughtful questions and wanting to better understand the experiences of Deaf students and staff.

The session focused on accessible support, qualified interpreters, and how better communication can make education more inclusive for Deaf people.

We also had great fun practising fingerspelling and everyday signs together, while exploring how BSL is a full visual language with its own grammar and structure, completely different from English!

And the screen setup completely shocked us… it covered an entire wall! We honestly felt like we were in a spaceship 🚀

A huge thank you to our deafPLUS services colleague Zoe for helping organise such a warm and welcoming morning.
