While our main focus is on Bangladesh, we have also undertaken projects and made donations to the poor and needy in other countries, such as Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Pakistan and Albania. s a charity in 1999, iQra focuses primarily on helping the poor and needy become self-reliant, and not dependent on handouts from donors. To date, thousands of people have received assistance from iQra, including medical support, cataract operations, tube wells, pushcarts, sewing machines, houses and many other income generating resources. While the majority of our projects are undertaken by our offices in the UK and Bangladesh, we are happy to work in partnership with other organisations, where necessary, to achieve our aims and objectives.
