🚨 Breaking news: Northern Ireland has its first employer to achieve all three Living Wage Foundation accreditations!

Belfast-based Endeavour Information Solutions is now Living Wage, Living Hours and Living Pension accredited. They are the first employer in Northern Ireland, and one of just 37 organisations across the UK, to achieve all three.

In Northern Ireland, 1 in 6 workers are paid below the real Living Wage, while 25,000 pensioners are living in poverty – that's roughly the population of a small town.

By committing to all three accreditations, Endeavour is helping to change that. Alongside paying the real Living Wage, it is ensuring employees have:
✅ Secure and predictable working hours.
✅ A pension that helps them save towards a decent standard of living in retirement.

Upward Frog Yoga is on a mission to achieve secure work for yoga teachers🧘

Most yoga teachers in the UK are self-employed and work in the gig economy, which means insecure schedules, last minute cancellations with no pay, and unpredictable income.

However, Upward Frog CIC is leading by example to ensure secure work in the sector. They are our 2026 Living Hours Champion, and the first yoga company in the UK to become an accredited Living Hours organisation. 🌟

🗨️CEO Emma Gartside says:

The Living Hours accreditation is about ensuring that everyone has the secure, predictable working hours that they need to thrive.🕰️

It means giving people reasonable notice of their shifts and guaranteed weekly hours, so that they have the ability to plan their lives and budgets.

It matters because 3.4m workers in the UK are trapped in low paid and insecure work - meaning that their job doesn't provide them with the means to meet their everyday needs.

As Prime Minister Andy Burnham says, "good employment is the foundation of a good life […] And it's not only the right thing for workers, it's also good for business too." 🌟

This has been clear in his track-record of advocating for a real Living Wage, working with the Living Wage Foundation and dramatically growing the number of accredited Living Wage Employers in Greater Manchester to 890 today. As a result, 26,000+ people in Greater Manchester now earn a wage which meets their everyday needs.

SSE has been a UK Living Wage accredited employer since 2013, underpinning its commitment to fair work and strengthening its position as an employer of choice. In 2014, it included a Living Wage clause in UK supplier contracts and has since updated it to reach as many workers as possible across its diverse supply chain.

SSE was one of the first large companies to adopt all three Living Wage Foundation accreditations – committing to decent wages, hours, and pensions for its employees. It continues to work towards extending this beyond its direct workforce to its supply chain.

They have been a Living Wage Employer since 2012, shortly after the accreditation’s launch, and are passionate about ensuring their staff are financially secure during their time at the firm and beyond.

They provided pro bono legal advice to develop the original Living Wage standard and subsequently the Living Pension standard and were early adopters of the accreditation when it launched in 2023.
