Nothing beats the sound of dogs happily eating.

It's important for the young and small dogs to learn to share food from an early age. Eating from a tray in a controlled way and Melisa can pick up on any food sharing issues, who doesn't want to jump into the pack etc

All dogs are fed don't worry, we are just sharing one of so many important socialising skills that all our dogs take part in, whether they have a life at the Sanctuary or in a home.

Last week, we asked for your donations to help Andreea to cover vet bills for this old girl who was attacked by other dogs on her back and legs. We are over the moon to see that physically she is healing so well, and has been released from the vet clinic.

Thanks to your incredible kindness, we were able to send £500, which was just under half the vet bill. Thank you for being with this poor girl when she needed us all.

Sasha is available for adoption

This sweet girl came into the UK to foster last week, and is currently enjoying life on the Isle of Skye.

She is a year old and small sized. Sasha loves everyone, and is in foster with three other dogs - so she would be happy to share her home with another dog too!

After months of shelling, drones overhead, and two close calls, tragedy struck in February when a drone hit the shelter in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine. Lives were lost, many were injured, and the surviving dogs were left deeply traumatised.

We knew we had to help.

After a nail-biting journey to safety, Lasunka and her friends arrived at the Sanctuary. Surrounded by peace, kindness, and love, they slowly began to heal. Their personalities blossomed, and one by one, they found their forever homes.

All except Lasunka.

At 9 years old, she is still waiting for someone to choose her. She is a joyful, affectionate girl who adores people, loves other dogs, and greets every day with a smile. Yet behind her gentle eyes is the hope that her family is still out there.

After everything she has survived, Lasunka deserves her happy ever after, and just maybe, we can go back for more of her friends too.

Our dogs lives, their rescue, aren't just "stories" to us. We cannot take every dog off the streets, from shelters, and re home them (sadly), but the ones we do take, are a part of us, are our hearts and souls.

Just like Lasunka.
