Can you help us please?

Aside food and vet bills, we have some small bills to prepare at the Sanctuary for winter. This small room contains the batteries, generator and solar panel and electrics. Last winter, it was so cold that it all froze inside and we had to make many replacements. So next week we want to professionally insulate and this means a new door too. The insulation needs tiles to half way up too - or the dressing gown munching pups will eat the insulation.

The materials cost 4094 lei, which is £649.

On top of this we need a new door plus labour costs.

Materials are:
exterior plaster
tiles on exterior walls
installation of new door
interior ceiling insulation

If you can help us to prepare for winter, it would be the hugest help! Every £1 raised will go towards our £649 we need to pay.

You can use paypal at [email protected] ref winter or

Thank you from the bottom of out hearts as we prepare to keep our dogs well looked after through the winter.

Red is available for adoption

This gorgeous girl will be arriving soon into her foster home near Milton Keynes!

At about four years old, this girl was taken from the House of Horrors where she never had any more space than a crowded kitchen. She’s loved the sanctuary, and we can’t wait to see how she flourishes in her foster home!

Every year in the UK, thousands of dogs and cats are killed on UK roads.

Many of these tragedies can be prevented through safer driving, awareness, and knowing what to do if a dog is involved in an accident.

Animal Road Accident Awareness Day is a day dedicated to protecting our four-legged friends by:

✨ Raising awareness of the dangers dogs face on our roads.
✨ Encouraging drivers to slow down and stay alert in built-up and rural areas.
✨ Honouring the dogs we’ve lost and celebrating the survivors who got a second chance.

Here are some useful tips to keep your dogs safe:

✔️ Keep dogs on a secure harness and lead near roads – even the best-trained dogs can get spooked.
✔️ Use reflective collars, harnesses, and leads for better visibility at night.
✔️ Always check gates and fences at home to prevent escapes onto busy roads.
✔️ Teach dogs basic recall – it could save their life if they get loose.
✔️ Slow down in residential areas – expect the unexpected.
✔️ If you see a stray dog near a road, don't chase it or call out - you may scare him into running away and onto the road
✔️ If you hit a dog, stop, try to help it by taking it to a vet and report it – it’s the law in the UK, and it could save their life.

Paws2Rescue maintain all dogs newly arrived into adopter's homes must stay in home and garden for 7 days, this helps make sure our dogs are safe in those early days where they may be nervous in their new surroundings.

Medium sized Lasunka is somehow still looking for her family

This girl is honestly brilliant, and people don’t know what they’re missing.

Lasunka may be older at around 9 years old, but she’s got plenty of life and love left. She has traveled from Ukraine, where she was in an active warzone.

She scavenges food, but otherwise is honestly brilliant. She walks nicely in lead, gets on with all other dogs, and loves people too.

Please SHARE to help this sweet girl find her family.

Sponsor a dog in need

Most of the animals have had a terrible, cruel past. Yet their ability to forgive and trust again is overwhelming.

We have many dogs with different stories and needs, waiting for someone to give them a chance they never had.

Your £5 monthly donation will go directly to the rescuers, to help them buy food, medicine, provide shelter, special treats and whatever other comforts they can.

You will be provided with 3 emails a year with updates on our SAS dogs.

Saving lives, one precious dog at a time.

Our Paws2Rescue vets are in action once again, giving hope to a little soul who had nowhere else to turn. Abandoned on the roadside, this beautiful girl was terrified. She ran and ran, desperate to escape, and was so frightened that our team had to tranquilise her in order to bring her safely to the clinic.

Thankfully, she is now safe. She has a warm place to sleep, good food in her tummy and, most importantly, people who care about her.

Soon, she will be spayed, protecting her from the endless cycle of unwanted puppies and suffering. And we desperately hope that, once she is ready, someone will see what a beautiful, loving girl she is and offer her the forever home she deserves.
No dog should be abandoned, frightened and alone.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who supports Spay A Stray. Every donation, every share and every act of kindness helps us save another life.

Because rescue isn’t just about saving the dogs we find, it’s about preventing more unwanted lives from being born into suffering.

Neutering saves lives. And together, we can give them a future.

Chillie is looking for her home

This sweet girl is chihuahua cross. She is 5 years old and small size. Chillie was one of the dogs we took from the “house of horrors”, but she doesn’t let this stop her as she loves zooming round playing in the freedom of the sanctuary with other dogs.

A higher energy little girl, Chillie would just love to find her family!
