Welcome to our next stop on A Greener Live London.

During AGF CEO & Co-Founder visited Wembley to meet Tom Miller, Senior Technical Manager, and find out how one of London’s busiest venues is putting sustainability into practice.

One of the most impressive? Since installing refill stations in 2023, Wembley Arena has helped save nearly 400,000 plastic bottles.

What should festivals focus on first when it comes to sustainability?
Last week at our Certification expert Charlie Forbes broke it down simply: energy, food and transport. ⚡ 🌱 🚌

“Ditch the fossil fuels, go plant-based, and make sure there’s public transport.”

From tent deposit schemes to banning single-use camping gear, the panel explored practical ways festivals can reduce waste while encouraging long-term behaviour change among audiences.

“Encourage people to have pride in the event they’re attending, to care about themselves, each other, and the land.”
