The Trustees’ policy is to offer a forum for the exchange of ideas and the sharing of cartographic knowledge, and to inform members of technical changes and opportunities that affect their professional standing. Volunteer members manage most of the Society activities. Society

Part of our conference is run by our Map Curators Group, who this year are celebrating their 60th Anniversary 🥳

To honour this, a very special inaugural Ann Sutherland Lecture will be given by Marcy Bidney, University of Chicago. This event is open to anyone interested in the preservation, dissemination and use of maps in libraries and archives.
