Dear Friends,
With profound sorrow and a heavy heart, World Sindhi Congress shares the tragic news of the sudden and untimely passing of Syed Maroof Ali Shah (19 October 1991 – 28 May 2026), who lost his life in a fatal road traffic accident in London during the early hours of 28 May 2026.
At only 34 years of age, Syed Maroof Ali Shah's departure has left his family, friends, and all who knew him devastated by an unimaginable loss. His life was cut tragically short, leaving behind cherished memories, unfulfilled dreams, and a void that can never truly be filled.
Syed Maroof is beloved son-in-law of Dr. Gul Munir Vistro, a respected friend and long-standing supporter of World Sindhi Congress. During this time of immense grief, we stand in solidarity with Dr. Vistro and the entire bereaved family, sharing in their sorrow and mourning this heartbreaking loss.
We pray that Almighty Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate, grants Syed Maroof Ali Shah the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous, illuminates his resting place, and bless him with eternal peace. May Allah also bestow strength, patience, and fortitude upon his family and loved ones as they endure this profound and irreparable loss.
إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
"Surely we belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return."
