The moments in sport that change lives don't always happen during a match. Sometimes they happen in a free youth clinic, an accessible stadium entrance, a vaccination campaign or a production truck deciding which camera angle to use. 📹️

Want to dig in? From the KC Current helping more girls get on the field to Nigerian footballer Chiamaka Nnadozie using her platform to support polio eradication, we've got the full stories waiting for you in this month's Sport for Social Change Bulletin.

When we talk about sport for social change, we're really talking about people: the young girl getting her first chance to play, the athlete using their platform to improve public health, broadcasters who can change the narrative, or a fan who feels welcome in the stands. Sport speaks many languages, but opportunity is universal.

Every young person deserves the chance to learn, grow, lead and thrive.

This International Youth Day, we're reflecting on the incredible young people we've met through sport around the world. While their circumstances may differ, their aspirations are remarkably similar: stronger communities, better opportunities and a future they can help shape.

Through sport, young people are building confidence, developing skills and creating positive change for those around them.

🧠 Coaches, practitioners and leaders working at the intersection of youth mental wellbeing and sport: join us for the next Head in the Game Quarterly Roundtable on August 19 at 1pm EDT.

Unlike our Munch & Learns, this session is fully interactive. Through facilitated small-group discussions, you'll connect with peers from across the sector, share challenges and successes and learn from different perspectives, roles and levels of experience.

Join us to:
✅ Reflect on what you're seeing in youth mental wellbeing today
✅ Learn from others navigating similar challenges
✅ Build meaningful connections across the community
✅ Help shape future conversations and priorities

These discussions also help Beyond Sport and our partners better understand the needs of the sector and how we can support this work moving forward.

📩 RSVP required at https://bit.ly/HITG_AUGUST to receive the Zoom link.

The World Cup may be over. Its legacy is just getting started. ⚽✨ The tournament gave us unforgettable moments, shared energy and memories that will last far beyond the final whistle.

Now, the focus shifts to what comes next. Across North America, Play Coll3ctive partners are using sport alongside art, education and community-led action to create spaces where young people can connect, learn and thrive.

Because sport is more than a game. It can open doors, spark belonging and create opportunities.

A huge thank you to all our Play Coll3ctive partners for being part of this journey.

Together, we have three years ahead to build on the momentum of the World Cup and create lasting impact across North America. 💙
