THERE’S BEEN A MURDER IN THE YORKSHIRE DALES… 🔎
Well, quite a few actually.
Thankfully, they’re all part of a rather brilliant weekend celebrating crime, mystery and the art of the whodunnit.
This weekend, the peaceful Dales town of Sedbergh — England’s Book Town — has taken a distinctly darker turn as Death in the Dales returns for its third annual Festival of Crime Writing.
And today, Saturday 17 October, they’ve assembled quite the line-up.
There are three former police officers turned crime writers revealing stories from both sides of the notebook, a look at whether historical truth really can be stranger than fiction, and authors exploring the mysterious world of haunted places.
Then tonight, acclaimed crime writer Martin Edwards takes things one step further with an interactive Murder Mystery.
So if you notice a suspicious number of people discussing murder in Sedbergh this weekend…
don’t call the police.
They’re probably authors. 😂
The festival continues tomorrow with Killer Thrillers, The Lady Killers and The Secret History of Crispin Darke.
