FINAL APPEAL for a volunteer to take over the coordination of Sedbergh Community Cupboard, and the Soup Cafe, before the decision to close it is made.

Involves managing the list of food bank clients, coordinating volunteers, managing food stock, running the cafes, overseeing the uniform recycling. It’s a lot but for someone who is passionate and has the time to devote it is thoroughly rewarding.

Pre-loved school uniform on display now at Cornerstone Community Church, New Street in Sedbergh. Cakes, soup, tea and coffee also on offer. All free of charge 🙏 Here until 2:30pm

The last Soup Cafe of the summer will take place TOMORROW (Thursday).
12:30 - 2:30pm at Cornerstone Community Church.
Free homemade soup, bacon sarnies, cake, tea and coffees. Everyone welcome.
There will also be another chance to browse pre-loved uniforms for both Sedbergh Primary School and Settlebeck School

Such a busy Soup Cafe today! Thanks to everyone who came and supported it.
We had the wonderful students from Settlebeck School helping as part of their Values Week: what a fabulously helpful, polite, and hard-working bunch they are, thank you all so much! They also prepared and brought along sandwiches and scones - a lovely treat 😋

📢After 4 years coordinating Sedbergh Community Cupboard I have decided to step down due to an increase in other work commitments.
🙏I am therefore looking for someone to replace me in this (voluntary) role from September. Please do let me know if you might be interested and I can let you know a bit more about what is involved.

Volunteers have spent the morning sorting and hanging school uniform donations.

We have a LOT of items, including Settlebeck uniform. Trousers, skirts, shirts, jumpers, PE kits… Some items are brand new!

Everything if FREE - do come and get your children kitted out for September 🥰👔

There will also be refreshments / lunch available, kindly provided by Settlebeck Year 9 students as part of their Values Week☕️🧁🥪

This Thursday 12:30 - 2:30pm at Cornerstone Community Church, New Street.
