We had an excellent meeting with the inspiring CEO of the Council of Governors-Kenya, Mary Mwiti, and Honourable Kizito Wangalwa as we kickstart Think Equal’s partnership to bring social and emotional learning to every child across Kenya.

Our Founder, Leslee Udwin, and our Director of Global Programmes for Africa, the Middle East and Asia, Priyanka Devani were delighted to meet with the CoG leadership to discuss a shared vision for empowering Kenya’s children with the social and emotional skills they need to thrive in the early years.

Think Equal is looking for a dedicated Moldova Programme Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in supporting the implementation, monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and sustainable integration of our early years programme within the country.

In this role, you will work in close partnership with local stakeholders - including the Ministry of Education and Science and UNICEF Moldova - with a special focus on maintaining strong relationships with and guiding local teachers, Department of Education personnel, and universities.

🎈 La mulți ani de Ziua Copilului! Happy International Children’s Day! 🇲🇩

Today, as Moldova celebrates its children, we are incredibly proud to share how the Think Equal programme is supporting the next generation.

Through a wonderful partnership with UNICEF Moldova and Step by Step Moldova, what started as a pilot in 150 UNICEF Moldova learning centres (Resource Centres) across the country has now scaled nationwide!

As part of this expansion, Think Equal Level 3 books have been distributed to all preschools in Moldova, reaching approximately 60,000 preschool children. 📚✨

We are so happy that children across Moldova are benefiting from a social and emotional learning programme that nurtures their wellbeing, empathy, confidence, and positive relationships from an early age.

Our Programmes Coordinator, Ecaterina Babara, recently took the stage at a pre-school educators' event to advocate for Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and present Think Equal.

We are on a massive mission in Moldova:
👉 Implementing Level 3 across ALL 1,050 kindergartens.
👉 Reaching 600 additional classes across 150 learning centers.
👉 Partnering with UNICEF Moldova and Step by Step Moldova to train pre-school educators and developing tools for pre-service education.

By equipping both current and future teachers with SEL tools, we are making equality the baseline for every child. 🧠❤️
