OCD ACTION

OCD ACTION The UK’s largest OCD charity.

We’re working towards a time when OCD is well understood, and everyone gets the treatment and support they need, when they need it.

OCD Action is proud to be part of the Head On campaign.

Delays in treatment are causing crises to escalate, families to struggle, and costs to rise. Entire lives are being put on hold or lost.

Thank you Ben West, Shocka, Poorna Bell and Sonny Green for standing with us. Together we can inspire UK Government to raise their ambitions for our mental health system.

A better system is possible. Join us.

We were pleased to see OCD being talked about so openly on a mainstream platform on Channel 5 last night.

We want to give a special mention to Shaun Flores, a member of OCD Action’s EDI Panel, and Steve Turnock, friend of OCD Action and founder of the OCD charity Asto, who shared their stories and offered real hope to others living with OCD.

As highlighted in the documentary by Professor Costas Papageorgiou, OCD is highly treatable with the gold-standard treatment Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

New data presented by the BBC shows that reports of OCD among young people have tripled in the past decade.

At OCD Action, we hear every day from people whose lives are on hold because they can’t access treatment.
We also see the incredible difference that the right, evidence-based treatments can make.

That’s why we’re calling for national data collection on OCD to become a policy priority, and for urgent investment in OCD services across the NHS.

Change is possible, and it starts with every single person living with OCD being seen and counted.
