On Wednesday, young people from our campaign met with senior Ofsted staff including Yvette Stanley, Ofsted's National Director for Children’s Social Care.

It was good to have open conversations about what it’s like to be moved far from home, including the impact on education, sibling separation, relationships and accessing support.

The young campaigners also shared their thoughts to help shape Ofsted’s consultation on changes to how local authority children’s services are inspected.

Ofsted has secured its first successful prosecution of an illegal children’s home provider, an important step in holding those who put profit before children to account.
