Around 1 in 3 children are separated from their brothers and sisters when they first go into care, often losing contact. These decisions are made based on what works for the system rather than what’s best for the young person.
Matt Blow, our Policy and Public Affairs Manager, spoke to BBC News on how the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Act becoming law is a step forward in tackling this issue, but more still needs to be done.
