🚐🎶 DJ MC VAN REVEAL ☀️🔊
If you haven’t heard of DJ MC Academy by now… where have you been?! 👀🔥
NYCC and DJ MC Academy have been on this journey together for nearly 10 years, right here in Edmonton ❤️ Krissy and the whole team are truly like family to us.

So when it came time to unveil their FOURTH van — and yes, it’s solar-powered 🌞⚡ — there was no better place to do it than Edmonton!
DJ MC Academy continues to bring music, skills, creativity and incredible vibes across North & East London (and beyond!) 🎧🎤✨
We were honoured to join Krissy, the amazing DJ MC team, DJ Supa D, and the Mayor of Enfield, Margaret Greer, yesterday for the official reveal of this brand-new van 🙌🚐

📍 Catch DJ MC at our centre every Thursday | 5PM–7PM
📩 Reach out to to find out if they’ll be at a venue near you!

Krissy, you are AMAZING 💖
Sending all the love from everyone here at NYCC — we can’t wait to see the van out on the road!
(Although some of our team are already trying to claim the keys for themselves 😂)

Celebrating the power of collaboration and the incredible impact being made for young people across North & East London 🎉✨

At Inspire EBP, they work alongside businesses, education providers, and local organisations to support nearly 30,000 young people every year 🙌

We’ve proudly been working with Inspire for almost 2 years, providing work experience placements to help young people grow, learn, and prepare for their futures. Last week, Cynthia and Ish attended the Inspire Awards — an inspiring evening celebrating the milestone of supporting 22,000 young people across the region 💙

The evening included:
🌟 Inspiring stories from young people
👏 Recognising those who went above and beyond
🤝 Networking and building meaningful connections

“It was a great experience taking part in this event for the first time. It was inspiring to see the impact being made on young leaders, and to recognise that every organisation in the room plays an important role in shaping positive change in young people’s lives.

It was also a valuable opportunity to connect and network with others who share a similar mission. Moments like this open the door for meaningful collaboration, helping us work together towards creating better futures and more opportunities for the next generation.”
– Ish

Here’s to continuing to create opportunities, inspire young people, and make a lasting difference together 🚀

Our friends at NYCC are hosting a launch event this Friday for their newly expanded e-waste and tech repair programme. This is a free, open-access service designed to support individuals and families who are struggling with broken or unusable electrical items, or who can’t afford to replace essential devices. We provide hands-on repair support for a wide range of items including phones, laptops, tablets, computers, watches and more. If it can be carried in, we will always aim to fix it.

Alongside repairs, the programme also offers practical workshops, helping people understand how to fix common faults themselves, as well as tailored sessions based on the needs of specific groups. The programme brings together e-waste recycling, technical repair, and wider support, helping people stay connected, reduce costs, and make better use of the devices they rely on every day. With support from Material Focus, we’ve been able to expand this work to reach more people and offer a more consistent service. We are now running every Thursday and Friday from 1pm–6pm, creating a reliable space where people can drop in for support.

Launch Event Details:
Friday | 13:00 – 15:00
39 St James Chambers, N9 0UD

On the day, there will be a short introduction, live demonstrations of repair and recycling, interactive activities, and an open drop-off point for broken or unused electrical items. If you’re available, it would be great to have you come down and find out more. More importantly, please do share this with your networks and refer in anyone who may benefit particularly those who need support getting devices fixed or accessing essential technology.
