Our friends at NYCC are hosting a launch event this Friday for their newly expanded e-waste and tech repair programme. This is a free, open-access service designed to support individuals and families who are struggling with broken or unusable electrical items, or who can’t afford to replace essential devices. We provide hands-on repair support for a wide range of items including phones, laptops, tablets, computers, watches and more. If it can be carried in, we will always aim to fix it.
Alongside repairs, the programme also offers practical workshops, helping people understand how to fix common faults themselves, as well as tailored sessions based on the needs of specific groups. The programme brings together e-waste recycling, technical repair, and wider support, helping people stay connected, reduce costs, and make better use of the devices they rely on every day. With support from Material Focus, we’ve been able to expand this work to reach more people and offer a more consistent service. We are now running every Thursday and Friday from 1pm–6pm, creating a reliable space where people can drop in for support.
Launch Event Details:
Friday | 13:00 – 15:00
39 St James Chambers, N9 0UD
On the day, there will be a short introduction, live demonstrations of repair and recycling, interactive activities, and an open drop-off point for broken or unused electrical items. If you’re available, it would be great to have you come down and find out more. More importantly, please do share this with your networks and refer in anyone who may benefit particularly those who need support getting devices fixed or accessing essential technology.
