British Afghan Women's Society

British Afghan Women's Society BAWS is a member driven organisation founded by Zarghona Rassa, a well-known journalist who has worked in Kabul and the UK.

The British Afghan Women's Society is a charity organisation designed to provide support to Afghan and other refugee women and children who remarkably need support and encouragement in order to be able to integrate into the British Society. Since the organisation was founded in 2001, BAWS has launched a number of projects including: Afghan Senses, Act4Education, Warm Home, D.A.W.N (www.facebook.com/DocumentingAfghanWomensNarratives) and the Winter 2012 Appeal.
