Talk the Talk Education CIC have two more FULLY FUNDED places/programmes for NEET young people in Sefton. Facilitated by Ben Towell in collaboration with Merseyside Expanding Horizons

Our Be Brilliant sessions focus on confidence, assertiveness, motivation and preparing for work, including practical mock job interviews.

The impact from our last programme was brilliant:

100% felt more confident
96% reported positive behaviour change
100% would recommend it to a friend

The programme is fully funded by Living Well Sefton and Sefton Council For Voluntary Service, so there’s no cost to participants.

We would really appreciate you sharing this with anyone working with NEET young people in Sefton – or any parents/carers who might know someone who would benefit.

MEH stopped by the Community Power Bus at Labour Party Conference in Liverpool this week. 🚌

The message on board was clear: the next stop for devolution must be power in community hands. It was a chance to hear from community leaders about what becomes possible when people have a real say in the decisions, places and services that shape their lives.

We enjoyed chatting with our friends from Safe Regeneration—and the pies from local favourite Homebaked were a highlight! 🥧

Thanks to We’re Right Here, Locality, UCL Policy Lab, Hope Not Hate, Power to Change, The Young Foundation and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation for bringing this conversation to the conference.

We're incredibly grateful to have been nominated for the Community Contribution Award at the Southport Business Awards!!

Thank you to everyone who has supported Merseyside Expanding Horizons over these past years. Whether you've attended an event, volunteered your time, partnered with us, shared an idea, hired a room, joined the business clubs, or simply encouraged what we're trying to build- you've played a part in this nomination.

Merseyside Expanding Horizons has always been about creating a space where people can connect, support one another and make good things happen. Seeing so many individuals, businesses and community organisations come together has been the real achievement.

We're also grateful to the Southport Business Awards for recognising the value of community alongside business success. It's an honour to be shortlisted alongside so many organisations making a positive difference across our town.

Whatever happens on the night, we're proud of what we've built together and excited for what's still to come.

Thank you for being part of the journey. 🫶

The work we do at Merseyside Expanding Horizons is fuelled by passion, support, commitment and huge belief in the potential of those we work with.
We are incredibly proud of our efforts and the success of our previous LAUNCHPAD programme, but more importantly of the achievements of who we had the privilege to watch develop and thrive.
Our new programme is due to begin soon. Watch the video to hear Gillee, a former participant, share her story, her feedback and the reasons why more young adults should get involved.

We're delighted to announce the return of Launchpad, our Youth Guarantee Trailblazer, from July through to December.

We'll be running our 11-week club which will give your participants the opportunity to be part of The Big Onion working alongside our independent traders and social enterprises - all of whom are fantastic, inspiration role models for young people in understanding two things: a) what the world of work is all about and b) how they can work their fit and make their contribution.

They'll also meet employers directly and even have the opportunity to participate in our own 'Dragon's Den'. Plus plenty of fun along the way and in the margins!

Spaces are limited so please contact us to secure a place for a young person you either know or are working with.
