He’ll always be our King ♥️

45 years ago today, Bill Shankly passed away.
Before the football, before the trophies and before the fame, there was Glenbuck.
A small mining village in Ayrshire that helped shape the boy who would go on to become one of football's most influential figures.
He carried Glenbuck with him throughout his life — its people, its values, its character and its spirit.
And perhaps that is what legacy is really about.
The places that shape us.
The values we carry with us.
And the things we leave behind for others to remember.
Today, we remember a man whose story began in Glenbuck — and whose legacy continues to be felt around the world.
Bill Shankly
1913–1981
Glenbuck will always be part of his story.
