Liverpool City Region Operations Officers Beth Green and Sean Atkins met with Ian Byrne Labour MP for West Derby to promote the benefits of young people doing the Duke of Edinburgh Award in the West Derby area of Liverpool. Ian is passionate about the DofE and is keen to work with us both in schools and community and Voluntary groups to offer more young people the opportunity to start the Award. Ian acknowledges the fact that there is a lack of opportunities for young people to learn new skills, gain confidence, commit to a project, lead a team, and meet new people in the local area.
