We’re delighted to introduce the talented cast and stage manager bringing Red Robin’s Winter Song to life this autumn!

Step into a twinkling, snow-dusted world with Red Robin’s Winter Song – a gentle, joy-filled theatre adventure for children aged 3+ and their families.

Written by the award-winning Manjeet Mann, this enchanting new play follows one small but brave Red Robin who stays behind as the other woodland animals prepare for winter. As snow begins to fall, Robin hears a mysterious song on the wind, leading to new friendships, unexpected discoveries and a special place to call home.

Filled with beautiful music, cosy storytelling and magical winter moments, Red Robin’s Winter Song is a heartwarming celebration of friendship, courage, embracing change and finding where you belong.

❄️ We're thrilled to be part of Leeds Playhouse's newly announced Autumn/Winter season!

This December, join us for Red Robin's Winter Song – a magical new winter adventure for young children and their families.

When the other woodland animals prepare for winter, one small but brave Red Robin chooses to stay behind. As snow begins to fall, a mysterious song carried on the wind leads Red Robin on a heartwarming journey of friendship, courage and finding where you belong.

Written by award-winning author Manjeet Mann this enchanting show is filled with beautiful music, cosy storytelling and plenty of winter wonder.

💜 Yesterday, we had a wonderful Deaf Awareness training session with Ayesha from Heart of BSL.

We learned about clear communications skills and an introduction to the BSL alphabet, giving us the opportunity to introduce ourselves using sign language. This was an engaging and informative session that helped us better understand how to create more inclusive environments - both at work and in our home lives.

✨ We would recommend this training to anyone looking to develop their understanding of deaf awareness and BSL. If you’re interested, get in touch with Ayesha.

✨ Volunteer Week Appreciation Post!

This National Volunteer Week, we’re celebrating the incredible volunteers who help make our Tutti Frutti Club such a special place for children across Leeds.

Today, we’re delighted to recognise Tianyue G*i, who joined us through the Student Volunteering Programme. Since February 2026, Tianyue has been volunteering as a Workshop Assistant at our Tutti Frutti Club at Hovingham Primary School.

🎨 Every week, Tianyue spends two hours supporting primary school children, helping to co-lead creative workshops alongside our lead artists.

Tutti Frutti Club is a free creative arts club for primary-aged children, giving children opportunities to explore a wide range of art forms while developing self-expression, self-esteem, aspirations, teamwork, and confidence in their own creative abilities.

Reflecting on her experience, Tianyue shared:

🗨️ “The children don’t care about your accent or if you use the wrong word. They just care if you’re kind and if you’re willing to play with them.”

💜 A huge thank you also to our funders — the and Didymus — whose support makes this work possible.

As we look to secure future funding and continue providing these valuable opportunities for children, we’d love to hear from organisations interested in supporting the club.
