Exciting news from Kirtlington Community Shop & Café! 🚨📢

We’re thrilled to be one of three finalists in the “One To Watch” category (kindly sponsored by David Cadwallader & Co Limited at the Plunkett UK & Rural Community Business Awards 2026! 🥳🏆

Chosen from nearly 80 nominations across the different categories, it’s an honour to be recognised alongside the best community-owned businesses when we’ve barely got started.

Exciting times ahead as we work towards opening our new shop & café later in the summer.

In the meantime, we can’t wait to celebrate with the other nominees in London on 2 July.

Last remaining tickets - book fast for first class comedians visiting Kirtlington for a LOL 😂 night raising funds for Kirtlington Community Shop & Café.

All of them have performed regularly at the Edinburgh Fringe and Comedy Clubs in Birmingham, Leicester, Nottingham and Reading.

Jay Neale is specially praised and renowned as an MC.

Jon Wagstaffe: His mix of high energy and clever writing make audiences warm to him instantly.

Jules O’Brian was shortlisted for the Funny Women award, 2021

David Eagle was crowned ’New Comedian of the Year’, 2019, was described as ‘A comic tour de force’ in the Guardian and ‘Just seen the future of stand-up comedy and his name is David Eagle’.

Phase1 of the building of Kirtlington Community Shop & Café is well underway.

The workers have been busy getting ready, laying the foundations in anticipation of Phase2 - the delivery of the timber frame structure on June 22nd.

🎞️We are delighted to announce a collaboration between Kirtlington Film Club and the Community Shop and Café.

🍫Come and join us for a screening of ‘Chocolat’ with Juliet Binoche and Johnny Depp - £10 ticket includes a glass of wine and a Shelley chocolate.

🍷There will be wine, soft drinks, ice creams and Shelley chocolates available to purchase.
