Today the Committee sends love and well wishes to you all on International Women's Day. We want to celebrate all women and remind you how wonderful you all are.

The theme for IWD this year is "Give to Gain" - perhaps that means something to you. You may be receiving love, care and attention from someone, or you may be a giver of your time, love, skills and energy - if so, please remember that it is very much appreciated.

Whether you are spending the day with loved ones at home, on holiday, in the garden, walking in nature, at work, supporting others, or being supported by friends and neighbours yourself - remember how amazing you are. Whatever you're doing, we hope you have a great day.

Dear Members,

Happy New Year to you all.

Please come and join us for our January meeting, on Thursday 8th January, 7pm in the village hall. It will be an evening of calm and relaxation with a sound bath led by Zelda de Freitas, who some of you will remember from last time. It can either be seated or you can lay down on the floor. Please bring a yoga/exercise mat if you have one to lie on, or a blanket. Loose clothing is also a good idea, just for comfort. This is not a physical activity, more of a relaxation session.

Please also bring something for the shared plates tea. And we will also have our usual raffle tea/coffee, drinks.

Dear Members,

We have our Christmas Meal this coming Thursday 11th December, but we know that not everyone is able to make it. We will miss you.

As the year closes, we wanted to say what a great year it has been at Kirtlington WI, we have loved spending time with you, getting involved with activities, learning new skills, and learning from our speakers. We thank you all for your involvement, and for all your help with teas, helping at the meetings and of course, helping at the Summer Fete. We look forward to an exciting year of activities next year.

We're sending you seasons greetings, and wish you all a happy and healthy 2026.

Our August Meeting (Thurs 14th) will be a social Outdoor Games and Tea Party. We have games to play like skittles, boules, co****le, aunt sally and others, and lets make a really delicious tea to share with each other. I'm baking scones..... And lets hope for warm sunny weather. But if the weather fails us we can play our games indoors. Hope to see you there, 7pm as usual, in the Village Hall.

We had a great evening at our July Meeting, a talk from simonwenham.com on the subject of the suffragettes. We have a lot to be grateful for those suffragettes who risked their lives campaigning for womens' votes.
