OC 1315 Calling...

1315 (Kidington) Sqn dates back to the very beginning of the Air Training Corps (ATC). When I accepted command of the Sqn, I came across a photo album that no one knew existed, buried deep in a cupboard. The immense pride that 1315 was there, present at the birth of the ATC and to this very day, is going strong.

1315 (Kidlington) Sqn Civilian Committee operated the annual Tombola stand at the Kidlington Parish Council Kidlington Christmas Lights switch on event this evening.

It was fantastic to see so many people at the event, the weather was on our side and we managed to clear all of our prizes!
Thank you to Kidlington Parish Council for allowing us to set up a stand, huge thank you to 1315 (Kidlington) Sqn Civilian Committee for giving up their evening to operate the stand and clear all the prizes. Your efforts were well rewarded with a total take of £270!

Thank you to Blenheim Palace for donating our top prize of a Family Pass and thanks to all the Cadets' Parents / Carers and CFAV who donated excellent prizes. All the funds directly benefit the Cadets and their training.

Thank you Kidlington, once again, your generosity knows no bounds.

OC 1315 Calling...

1315 (Kidlington) Sqn has received the total from the Royal British Legion (Kidlington Branch) Poppy Appeal. 1315 Cadets and CFAV hosted 3 days of collecting on Saturday, 1 Nov, Sunday, 2 Nov and Saturday, 8 Nov 25 and raised a staggering £6114 for the RBL, this works out at 23% of the money raised by Kidlington overall (upto 18 Nov 25). Bravo Zulu Cadets and CFAV, you totally smashed it!

My sincere thanks and gratitude to the Public and Citizens of Kidlington who visited the stand in Sainsbury's Kidlington. Your generosity is inspiring and will make a huge difference to the lives of those who have served, are serving and their families. Thank you.

Big thanks also to Starbucks who kindly provided free coffees to the collectors, very much appreciated!

Lets see if we can beat this total next year.

1315 (Kidlington) Sqn is recruiting!
If you are aged 12+ and in Year 8+ at School, you can Join us and begin your Royal Air Force Air Cadet journey. Our Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAV) and Non-Commissioned Officers (NCO) will train, mentor, guide and coach you to be a confident, knowledgeable and skilled leader. Not to mention the many friendships that you will make, not just with 1315, but the wider organisation. You could sit at home and wonder what to do over the weekend, or you can join the RAF Air Cadets and take part in a huge number of activities. Learn First Aid, Duke of Edinburgh, Mountain Biking, Kayaking, Road Marching, Shooting, Cyber, Drone flying, Gliding, Camping or visit RAF Stations, Museums. The world is your Oyster.

A proud day for 1315 (Kidlington) Sqn. Representing those who have fallen, those who have served and those currently serving in theatres around the world, on Remembrance day 2025. Bravo Zulu to you all for a sterling job!

OCs have the best job in the world. I am bursting with Pride for my Cadets and Staff, they delivered with Respect, Integrity and Excellence. They did themselves proud.

1315 (Kidlington) Squadron are holding an Open Evening for potential new recruits on Thursday 18 September 2025 1930 to 2100hrs - Register now https://forms.office.com/e/PL2Z9YdvBV

Recruits must be aged 12+ and in School Yr 8+.

Build your skills, confidence, leadership, gain experience and create lasting memories. Above all enjoy yourself doing it.

1315 (Kidlington) Sqn is in need of Adult Volunteers and Civilian Committee members to help support and build our young people into the next generation of leaders!

Cadet Force Adult Volunteers can join from age 18, you need no previous experience, we will teach you all you need to know. Every CFAV makes a positive difference to a Cadet's journey.

Civilian Committee members can join from age 18, who act similarly to a School board of Governors. Any time you can give is valuable and hugely appreciated.

RAF Air Cadets is a fully inclusive organisation.
