What a treat it was for Rollo to join Sean, Julius and Rose for some harmony singing last week! Thanks to Rose for introducing us to Cordeiro De Nana - beautiful music, and beautiful singing voices from these guys. 👏

We have an opportunity for new trustees to join our board!

Could you help support our charity’s work of bringing creative opportunities to communities of young people who often face barriers to access? Do you share our belief that ‘Music Matters?’

This is a part-time, voluntary role - you’d be joining our small, committed board, in order to grow and support our infrastructure. We’re keen to hear from people with skills including business management, marketing, donor fundraising, corporate fundraising as well as individuals with lived experience of the communities we support. 🎶 From studio sessions to live radio 📻

Over the Easter break, we teamed up with our good friends at to give 7 young people the chance to take over our latest radio show 😁

They spent the week building skills at - learning DJing, microphone techniques, and how to conduct interviews - before going live on for an hour of pure brilliance 🙌

From music selections to confident hosting, they brought personality, creativity, expert knowledge, live breaking news updates and energy all the way through 🔥

We couldn’t be more impressed with how the group stepped up on the day 👏

We support the We Make Music Manifesto for Scotland because music education isn’t restricted to the classroom. Community spaces are where many young people first discover music, build confidence and find their creative voices. Lights, camera, action 🎬✨

J + J recently hit the big screen in collaboration with at their film premiere - and trust us, you’re going to want to see what they’ve created (coming soon… keep your eyes peeled 👀).

Alongside L and another J, the team spent a full “week in the life” at The Sound Lab - jumping into 1-to-1 lessons, group sessions, and chatting with staff and tutors to bring this story to life 😁

With no previous film experience, they wrote, planned, and executed an incredible short film from scratch 🙌

The premiere at celebrated not just their work, but a whole wave of talented young filmmakers - and we couldn’t be prouder of what they’ve achieved. Well done guys!

Big love to the whole team for such an amazing debut and a special shoutout to Anthony and Isa from GMAC.

Thanks to everyone who has spread the word about our New Sounds Academy programme for care experienced musicians.

Announcing…The return of New Sounds Academy (NSA). Delivered in partnership with with funding provided by , NSA is a 1-year career development programme for care experienced musicians.

4 promising musicians will each receive:

- 50 hours of flexible tuition and mentoring
- £400 to invest in their creative development
- Support to write, record, release and perform their own music
- A weekend long writing retreat at the internationally renowned
- Music business support and support from a dedicated peer mentor

The programme is open to 16-30 year olds who either live in Glasgow, or are able to travel to Glasgow for their sessions. Deadline for applications is midnight on 11th March.
