🇪🇸🦩 Class Check-In with TEA in the POT - Women's Support Service 🦩🇪🇸

Sending a massive congratulations to our lovely group from Tea in the Pot, a Govan-based charity supporting women in the local community for over 20 years 💗

They’ve been learning Spanish with our tutor Eva in various project over the past few years, and we're delighted to announce that Nancy, Jane and Christina just achieved their Nat 2, passing with flying colours! 🎉

It's really lovely to build connections with different organisations in our local community, learn about everyone's wonderful work and support each other in our various areas in making the local community a better place! Our Autumn Semester marks the start of Lingo’s ‘academic’ year, so why not challenge yourself to advance in your language learning? 🧠
Perhaps you’ve been taking Chick classes for a few semesters or you’re now feeling confident with your skills in Post-Chick? Well, take this new semester as your sign to push yourself and try out the next level of learning 🤩

📚🦩 Let’s Take A Look At Lingo’s Care Home Tutor Development Day 🦩📚

Last month our Tutor Development Manager Rosi held a development day for all our care home and day centre tutors! This was a chance for everyone to share their stories and exchange tips & tricks for creating a fun, accessible learning environment 💗

🌟 The key takeaway: our classes use language as a vessel to make people reminisce, laugh and have a fun hour. The objective is not to teach a language (as you would in schools), it’s to use language as a way of allowing people to remember and unlock memories, to smile, to interact with each other, to enjoy themselves, to celebrate success 🥰

Overall a very rewarding day highlighting the amazing work our tutors do for older and vulnerable adults across Scotland 💜

🥯 and thank you to our neighbours for the lovely lunch spread!
