Have you seen our new picnic tables?

Picnic tables were one of the most frequently suggested items when we surveyed people last year, and our volunteers worked hard to make it happen.

They were made possible by generous donations from a number of parkgoers, including a substantial donation from Newlands Park Community Tennis Centre

We hope you enjoy using them. Do tag us in any photos, especially if they feature teddy bears! 🐻

Our volunteers were out this morning planting 4 rhododendrons to replace the ones that were destroyed when council workers dumped a huge pile of tree bark on them.
They also planted heathers, hebes, and viburnum.
It's looking great and will look even better as the plants settle in over the next few years.
