💙 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 💙

This , we're celebrating the incredible carers who go above and beyond every single day.

Did you know that an estimated 11.6 million people across the UK are currently providing unpaid care to a family member, friend or neighbour? Whether it's offering emotional support, helping with daily tasks, attending appointments, managing medication or providing personal care, carers make an extraordinary difference to the lives of others.

This year's theme, Building Carer Friendly Communities, reminds us of the importance of recognising, understanding and supporting carers in every part of society.

To every carer, paid and unpaid, thank you. Your compassion, resilience and dedication help individuals, families and communities thrive. You are seen, valued and appreciated. 💐

And don't forget, there's still time to tell us about a carer who has made a difference in your life. Share your story for the chance to have them celebrated during Carers Week, with one special carer receiving a beautiful bouquet of flowers as our way of saying thank you. 💙

💙𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀' 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲💙
This week, we're celebrating and thanking the incredible volunteers who help make Spinal Injuries Scotland what it is.

From Dumfries & Galloway, where Mary Bell presented Jan Atack with flowers and a thank you card, to Aberdeen, where Emma Douglas thanked Ian Rosie for his continued support, we've been recognising just some of the amazing people who give their time to help others.

In Glasgow, we welcomed volunteers into our office for a special Volunteers' Week celebration. We were delighted to present Keira Procter with an award recognising an incredible 20 years of volunteering, and to thank Graeme Quinn for his support within the Spinal Unit, alongside Andy Adams and Stewart Thomson for their invaluable support at our Coffee Meets.

It was also fantastic to welcome potential future volunteers into the office to learn more about our work and how they can get involved.
A huge thank you to Stephen Perry, Jim Cooper, Brian Watt and Ray Brown, who couldn't join us in person, and to every volunteer across Scotland who supports our community. Your time, dedication and kindness make a real difference to the lives of people affected by spinal cord injury.
Thank you for everything you do. 🌟https://padlet.com/volunteersweek/volunteers-week-2026-mvchixauzgtam3eu
