SAVE THE DATES
At Exeter Scrapstore our mission is to recycle, repurpose and reuse for art, craft and play.
As part of that we like to have regular sales of our surplus stock.
In June we will be filling our volunteer room with greetings cards and having a massive card sale.
Stock up on 4 cards for £1.
Exciting or what!

Our trusty Scrapstore Van is needing to go into retirement and we need to find a replacement.
So I’m wondering, is there anyone out there with van knowledge who could spare a few hours to help us with our search?
If you are our person please DM us or pop into the store and speak to Gaby.

We have been having another sort out and have a little collection of free stuff to find a home for.
There are enamel paints, glass paints and Spanish greetings cards. Random I know but good for something, for someone to use?
Just pop in and collect them.

On Tuesday evening Gaby & Caroline joined hundreds more people in to celebrate the fantastic work of students at their end of year fashion show. The talent and hard work of all the students was a delight and we were especially pleased to get a mention as many of the students use us for materials as they want their designs to be sustainable.
Thank you for a fantastic and inspiring evening.

A few weeks ago we did a ‘shout out’ to see if anyone would like to experiment with crocheting up some of the lovely woollen fabric strips we had been donated.
answered the call and made this fantastic cat.
Martha used a 10mm hook and says that the fibres mean it’s hard to see the stitches and you therefore need to crochet by ‘feel’
A few other people or have said they will experiment so I’ll keep you posted on outcomes.
Thank you Martha - the cat is very cute!

We have lots of yarn for crochet and a range of hooks for sale in our shop.

Caroline , our Volunteer Coordinator will be hosting a ‘Sew Social’ session at the lovely on Wednesday the 6th May from 11 until 1.
Simply pop along with a sewing project, buy a delicious coffee and sit and sew with other people. Caroline will have the scrapstore suitcase of haberdashery handy and there will be a simple little project you can do if you haven’t anything on the go at the moment.
