Some days just bring Q***r joy and today was one of them 🤩 Huge thanks to The Brighter Days Ahead Foundation and Ariana Grande for the chance to bring some of Consortium member organisations together to bring some positivity by packing some fabulous items in gift bags for trans young people across the UK 🤩 in the amazing space that is Q***r Britain Museum

We were so privileged to share this moment with Trans+ Solidarity Alliance and other charity partners.

This is your one week reminder that the LGBT+ Fund: London Fund will close to applications at midday on Wednesday 12th August.

Thanks to the generosity of City Bridge Foundation we will be awarding a total of £785,000 over a 3 year period to organisations and groups supporting London's LGBT+ communities. It has been designed to provide accessible, flexible and community-informed funding for LGBT+ organisations and groups across all 32 boroughs.

Groups can apply for a 1yr, 2yr, or 3yr grant for amounts between £2,000 and £20,000 yearly and all funding decisions will be made by LGBT+ people living in London.

The Grassroots Fund is now open to applications. Please visit the eligibility checker, fund guidance and FAQ pages before applying. The fund will close to new applications on the 9th of September at 12pm midday.

Delivered by the LGBT+ Fund and in partnership with the LGBT+ Fund Donor Circle and funds raised at City for LGBT+ event the fund will award £28,093 to grassroots LGBT+ organisations and groups across the UK with an income of £10k and under.

Eligible organisations and groups can apply for grants between £500 - £2,000 for costs towards strengthening their organisation such as comms and marketing training, fundraising support, leadership development, burnout-prevention support or office essentials.

LGBT+ causes receive just 0.1% of all UK charitable income, that’s only 10p in every £100!

The LGBT+ Fund, powered by secures trusts and foundations funding income and redistributes it through participatory decision making, offering funds to the LGBT+ voluntary and community sector across the UK.

We are wanting to complement this ongoing work with a broader reach of individual donors and organisational partnerships. This isn’t just about financial support; it’s about securing our future, building resilience, and fostering independence.

Applications for our new LGBT+ Fund: Grassroots Fund open in 1 week!

Pride month may be over but the work doesn't stop! Many organisations across the UK are currently running on low to no income whilst trying to meet an ever increase in demand for the services they provide.

The LGBT+ Fund Report 2025 highlighted that 68% of organisers were regularly using their own money to run services. Behind every joyful Pride photo is often a volunteer who paid for the room hire themselves. Behind every safe social space is someone covering costs out of pocket. Behind every thriving community moment is a group wondering how they’ll fund the next one. Yet joy keeps happening. Because Q***r Joy is powerful, it's how we survive. Because celebration is a form of resistance.

We're looking for an LGBT+ Fund Grants Lead to join Consortium and help deliver fair, accessible and community-led grant-making that strengthens LGBT+ organisations and groups across the UK.

The LGBT+ Fund is central to our work to resource, strengthen and sustain LGBT+ communities. As part of our Giving team, you'll support the administration of our grant programmes, work alongside Community Panellists throughout the assessment process, maintain our grants management system, and help ensure funding reaches organisations that are often under-resourced and closest to community need.

You'll also play an important role in helping us learn from our grant-making, using data and insight to build a stronger understanding of where investment is most needed across the LGBT+ sector.

About the role
• Home-based in England
• Full-time (30 hours across a 4-day week)
• Salary: £31,333 plus 5% pension contributions
• Initial one-year contract, with the possibility of extension
• 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, birthday leave and festive closure

Thanks to the generosity of today we have launched the LGBT+ Fund: London Fund which will be awarding a total of £785,000 over a 3-year period to organisations and groups supporting London’s LGBT+ communities. This fund has been designed to provide accessible, flexible, and community-informed funding for LGBT+ organisations and groups in all 32 boroughs.

The fund aims to strengthen support for communities facing the greatest inequity, including trans-led, global majority-led, faith-inclusive and other intersectional groups. We want to support groups that provide a wide range of activity such as frontline services, community spaces, collaboration, leadership, organisational resilience, and work addressing housing insecurity, health inequalities and access to trans-affirming care.

Groups can apply for a 1, 2 or 3 year grant for amounts between £2,000 - £20,000 yearly and all funding decisions will be made by LGBT+ people living in London.
