Fundraising in support of a loved one fighting blood cancer is often a family affair. This weekend, the Fletcher family will be scaling Ben Nevis in the Scottish Highlands for ELF. A climb of 1,345 metres above sea level!

Ceylone Fletcher: "Last year, our Mum and Nan was diagnosed with myeloma, and it has been a huge change for all of us as a family. Mum has faced everything that has come her way with so much strength and bravery, and we couldn’t be prouder of her. ❤️

Myself, partner Henry, nephew Cameron and his friend Henry are taking on Ben Nevis for ELF, a charity that is very close to our hearts and which has supported Mum throughout her cancer journey. We want to give something back and help ELF continue the amazing work they do. So, the four of us will be taking on the highest mountain in the UK together - hopefully raising some money along the way!"

Please join us in wishing much luck to Ceylone and family. They have already raised an amazing £1,000 and we cannot wait to see their photos from the summit!

We spent a great day at Newton Abbot Racecourse on Saturday!

Our thanks to everyone who stopped to chat or make a donation during our afternoon at the races. Our volunteer team collected over £400 in donations whilst raising awareness about blood cancer and ELF's support for patients in Devon.

Thank you to the Racecourse for hosting us and to Cecelia, Dennis, Derek, John, Mary, Paul and Seb for being such brilliant ELF representatives!

Residents and staff at Castle Grove in Bampton, Tiverton, enjoyed a glorious summer's day for their annual ELF Summer Tea Party last week. Afternoon tea was served in the gardens whilst residents were treated to Pimms and entertainment from a wonderful singer in the afternoon sunshine.

Our sincere thanks to ELF Trustee and Castle Grove owner Isabelle, all the Grove staff and ELF's Head of Patient Services, Gen, for their hard work hosting this brilliant event. The resident's raised a mighty £686.50 for ELF in support of patients and families living with blood cancer. Well done everyone!

Last Saturday, three members of the Haematology staff team completed a 12 mile hike across Dartmoor as training for their upcoming trek in aid of ELF.

Advanced Practitioner Rachael, Consultant Haematologist Deyna and Registered Nurse Sophie successfully ticked off the miles and are feeling good about next month's 50km challenge, which will see a team of 10 NHS staff walk from Totnes to Paignton.

This will be the NHS Haematology team's third epic walking challenge for ELF in 3 years and we are so grateful for their continued support! Please show them some love with a donation or a share if you can!
