As the academic year draws to a close and University of Exeter students head home for the summer, we celebrate a very successful year working alongside the brilliant Exeter Student Volunteers Society.

The society provided student volunteers at our fundraising events throughout the year and at our annual bucket collection at Exeter Chiefs. In addition, they raised a mighty £1,500 in donations by hosting a Charity Gala and working alongside other student societies.

Our thanks to ESV outgoing Presidents Anannya and Preeti for all their hard work leading the Society. We wish them much luck for their future as graduates and look forward to working with their successors in September!

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? We have just the thing!

Our friends at Canonteign Falls are hosting a special elf trail once again around their beautiful site. Find the hidden elves amongst the waterfalls and the meadow gardens to claim your prize!
PLUS it's free entry for Dads all weekend to mark Fathers Day. Use the code DAD26 at the checkout for a half price Dad ticket.

This weekend, a wonderful group of people are taking part in the Bude Shoreline Triathlon in memory of their friend, Rob Saxton.

"In September 2025 we said farewell to one of the best.
Rob had a 6 year journey with leukaemia and he walked beside it with humour, understanding, and compassion for everyone else. He united a huge pool of people from many walks of life throughout his time; we are some of those people.
After his initial diagnosis, ELF were a huge support to Saxton and his family. By raising funds we hope to keep others out there, facing this journey, uniting with those they love, for as long as they possibly can."

Rob's friends have raised an incredible £4,000 for ELF in his memory. Rob supported ELF himself by completing the Bridgwater Half Marathon in 2022 (pictured) and we're sure that he'll be with his friends in spirit cheering them on this Sunday. Our sincere thanks to them all for this incredible donation.

A blood cancer diagnosis is life-changing, not only for the patient but also those closest to them.

As well as being available for patients, ELF's Counselling Service assists family members coming to terms with the diagnosis of a loved one. Our counsellors can help to ease the physical strain of supporting a relative's treatment journey, and in some sad instances, provide bereavement counselling.

Our friends at The Mortgage Quarter are hosting a Glow in the Dark Dodgeball Night in aid of ELF, and you can be a part of it!

The competition takes place on Thursday 25th June at the Riverside Leisure Centre in Exeter:

• Teams of 6 (with up to 2 substitutes)
• £100 per team entry
• Arrival from 6:30pm | Games from 7:00–8:45pm
• Spectators are very welcome!

There is space for 25 teams to take part, so if you’re up for some friendly competition (and don’t mind dodging a few balls!) be sure to register your team.
