Between March and October this year, 45 blooming marvellous gardens opened their gates and welcomed visitors in support of Hospiscare. 🌷

This year's Open Gardens season has been incredible - raising over £67,000! 🌻

Thank you to everyone involved for your generosity - from our garden visitors to our garden owners, the volunteers who gave their valuable time and everyone who made cakes, filled tea cups and grew plants to sell.

Sharon Collins, our Area Fundraiser said “What truly stood out was the wonderful community spirit that flourished throughout the season. We can’t say thank you enough to everyone who makes our Open Gardens season such a success”.

You have all been amazing and helped us support local patients and their families when they need us the most. 💙

Our Book of Memories is printed once a year and placed on display in Exeter Cathedral from early December until Twelfth Night.

It includes dedications from people who have lost someone they love, regardless of whether that person was looked after by Hospiscare. 💙

This week is , and the theme is ‘Don’t leave hospice care to chance’.
End-of-life care eases the physical and emotional pain of death and dying, letting people focus on the living right up until the end – but we, along with other hospices across the country, rely on our local community for support to make this possible for as many people as we can. People like Serena and her husband Ken, who was cared for by our team at home, where he wanted to be.

Serena said, "We can never thank you enough for swiftly sorting the means for Ken to take back control of his life which enabled him to spend the last few days of his life where he needed to be."
