A huge thank you to Red One Limited, Fox School of Motoring - David Fox, and JLN Driving School Ltd for another fantastic driving day. This is always so popular with our service users and is such an uplifting event. What a wonderful experience for all involved! ❤ 🎈 🩵

We had an amazing day once again supporting the Balloons Charity for their driving day! We had a great time meeting you all, and seeing the young people having such fun driving around the circuit!
One parent said to me “thank you so much. We haven’t seen our daughter gain so much confidence!”
A huge shout out to our friends/colleagues from JLN Driving School based in Saint Austell who come up and help us every year! Also a huge shout out to Red One who allow us to use their driving circuit out at Westpoint. We hugely appreciate it! 😊🚗

We're thrilled to announce that Balloons has been shortlisted as a finalist in the BBC Devon Make a Difference Awards 2026 for the Community Group Award.

The award celebrates groups that genuinely change lives, which is something our amazing volunteer grief support workers do through their vital work with bereaved young people across Exeter, East, and Mid Devon.

Being recognised from the hundreds of nominations received across Devon is such honour and a wonderful way to celebrate the impact our fantastic group of volunteers makes within the community.

After receiving support from Balloons during a challenging period at the school where she worked, Pam made herself a promise that one day, she would give back.

Now a volunteer Grief Support Worker, she helps bereaved children and young people navigate their grief, and says it's one of the most fulfilling things she's ever done.

As part of our 20th anniversary celebrations, we are sharing the stories of the people whose lives have been touched by Balloons.

When Flo's mum died, she was just 13 years old. Years later, as she started university, the true impact of that loss began to surface.

With support from Balloons, Flo found a safe space to explore her grief, understand her emotions, and reconnect with her love of art.
