Workshops

We run open workshop sessions at our venues in Leith and Portobello. Due to Covid, workshop sessions are currently limited to 6 p

articipants, and participants must be inducted before they can use the workshops. Being a safe space for everyone in our community is very important to us here at the tool library – that’s why we run a weekly Women’s Workshop for women and non-binary folx. We also run paid classes aimed at beginner-level woodworkers, and one-off making events. To book an induction, workshop spot or see a program of current events and classes, see 👇

Become a Tooligan! You don’t have to know everything (or anything) to help out at the tool library. We’re always looking for volunteers to help with running the library, fundraising and tool repair and maintenance. Apply here 👇

📅 Sunday 23rd August
⏰ 1pm - 4pm

Come and join us! Repair Café Edinburgh will be popping up at Our Community Workshop in Leith, where volunteers will be on hand to help you repair your broken electrical, electronic and mechanical devices such as toys, small / low-voltage electricals, laptops… we'll also have help on hand if you want to try fabrics and clothing repairs.

Alongside this we will also feature screenings of Can Everything Be Mended? - a poetic short film exploring whether everything can (or should) be mended, and how repair is an act of resistance.
