We love it when we take people by surprise and surpass their expectations - and it happens a lot!

People often don't know what to expect from our tours - after all we train people who've experienced homelessness to be walking tour guides - guests often share after that they came armed with lots of misconceptions and pre-conceived ideas.

It's a privilege to be able to change perceptions, open eyes and leave people smiling, with new knowledge - and having had the best time in the company of our guides!

Come along, book a tour and experience Invisible Cities for yourself. We can't wait to see you soon.

Celebrating Edinburgh guide Gayle who is taking part in a play during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The Mysterious Seelie Wight Women depicts an amazing story of one of the Scottish women accused of Witchcraft in the Scottish Capital.

Did you know she also talks about witches on her Women of Edinburgh tour?

We've celebrated in 6 of our 10 cities already!
Next up in August it's Glasgow and we end our 10th birthday celebrations in September in the Scottish Borders.

A huge thank you to TrainSplit our travel partner for making this epic celebration possible by getting us from city to city. If you don't know their app, they're often cheaper than other train ticket booking sites so take a look!

If you've not been on a walking tour with us yet, we train and support people with lived experience of homelessness to be tour guides of their own cities - come along and hear stories of change, revolution, renewal and more.

The Commonwealth Games came to Glasgow and we had the best time with our tour guests!
Our Glasgow tour guides Silvana and Angie, along with a group of volunteers delivered a short tour for special guests of the games.

These people were from all over the country, coming from events organisers and other businesses looking for ways to really get to know the city during their stay.

We did a highlights tour about the riverside, a bit about Glasgow's incredible history and our work involved in the Glasgow 2026 Festival (Commonwealth Games).

Did you know that we create bespoke tours for cultural, sporting and music events, as well as tours designed for universities, overseas groups and corporates?

So if you're looking for something that gets you out exploring and learning about the city from a perspective of growth, change, innovation, culture and history, then get in touch!

What do you do when a tour guide gets sick at short notice?

You call Zakia who founded Invisible Cities 10 years ago to stand in - after all she's been on every guide's tour many times and knows our cities almost as well!

This group loved their stand in tour guide and got the chance to ask loads of questions about the Invisible Cities story too.

Not been on a tour? Come along - typically you'll get a guide, but you never know it might be Zakia!

Since becoming a walking tour guide in 2022, Angie has become a bit of a local legend!

Angie is Glasgow born and bred, with a strong accent, incredible local knowledge and a gift for sharing stories with humour and energy!

Come on a tour in Scotland, England or Wales and you'll meet Angie in Glasgow or one of our other fantastic guides in our cities across the UK.

By September we'll be in 10 cities across the country so now is the perfect time to have a look - our tours go beyond the typical sites and stories so you can really discover what's wonderful about a place and its people.

After every tour we email our guests and ask for feedback.

When replies like this come through we pick up the phone and tell our guides what their groups have said.

It makes all the hard work worth it! Researching, practicing, touring in all weathers and taking all the bumps that life typically throws at us alongside being tour guides.

Please come on a tour and see why people give our guides 10/10!
