On 16th June 2026, we hosted our Annual Awards Night, celebrating the hard work, commitment and achievements of our incredible cadets over the past year.

The evening saw a number of well deserved promotions, specialisations and boating qualifications awarded to our senior cadets. Our juniors also had plenty to celebrate, earning their Blue Badges and achieving promotions of their own.

In what has been a particularly challenging period for our unit, following the closure of our training building, Claverhouse, and being unable to train for the last couple of weeks, it was fantastic to see such an outstanding turnout from our cadets and to witness the high standards, resilience and dedication they continue to demonstrate.

A huge congratulations to all of our award winners, and to every cadet who has worked so hard throughout the year.

Special Awards:

🏆Best Dressed Cadet – AC Uyele
🏆Most Improved Senior Cadet – OC Milo
🏆Quartermaster of the Year – AC Ryan
🏆Most Boating Hours (204 hours) – OC Ruby
🏆Cadet of the Year – LC Sebi

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our cadets. Thank you to our volunteers, families and supporters who continue to stand by us through challenging times. Here’s to another successful year ahead!

Yours aye,
PO Lonie.

🌟 Volunteers’ Week 2026 🌟

As the Officer in Charge, I want to take this opportunity to personally thank every one of our volunteers. I truly couldn’t run the unit without your support, commitment, and hard work. Your dedication is the foundation of everything we achieve at Trinity.

This Volunteers’ Week, I want to celebrate and thank the incredible people who make Trinity such a special place.

Thank you to every volunteer across our unit. Whether you’re delivering training, supporting activities, fundraising, organising events, or helping behind the scenes, your time and dedication makes a real difference to our cadets.

I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to our Unit Management Team. Your guidance and support help our unit thrive, creating opportunities for young people to build confidence, develop skills, and form lasting friendships.

Together, you create a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where cadets can reach their full potential.

Thank you for your commitment, enthusiasm, and service. I am proud to have such an outstanding team of volunteers at Trinity Sea Cadets.

Happy Volunteers’ Week and thank you for everything you do!

Our Senior Cadets had an incredible visit to the RNLI station at South Queensferry last night !

They got a behind-the-scenes look at the lifesaving work carried out by the RNLI team, learned about water safety, and explored the lifeboats up close. A huge thank you to the crew for sharing their time, knowledge, and inspiring dedication to keeping others safe.

An unforgettable experience for our cadets!

Good luck to Edinburgh District representing us at the National Drill & Piping Competition 2026!

We’re incredibly proud of each and every one of you including our very own LC Sebi who is in the team. You’ve already achieved so much just getting there, so give it your all and enjoy every moment.

A huge thank you as well to all dedicated volunteers travelling down to support the teams and the competition. None of this would be possible without your time, effort, and commitment.

Juniors made lighthouses this evening. We think they look great!

No ships crashed into our Unit tonight so they must work!

Thanks to Alex, formerly of this parish, but now an instructor with Edinburgh Marine Academy, for the ex-lifejacket lights we repurposed.

You thought we were done celebrating achievements? Think again!

We’re incredibly proud to share that 3 of our cadets have successfully achieved their Assistant Dinghy Instructor qualification. On top of that, 1 cadet has qualified as a Rowing Instructor, and one of our CFAVs has also completed their Rowing Instructor qualification!

Just 3 months into the year and we are already smashing our goals and making waves!

Massive congratulations to you all, your hard work, commitment, and determination are truly remarkable.

We can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings!

Area Drill 2026 – Complete!

What an incredible achievement for Trinity Sea Cadets this weekend!

Gold for the Continuity Team and one of our cadets is heading to Nationals!
Two Silvers for our talented Pipers;
Bronze for Individual Piping from a cadet who has been with us less than 12 months!

An exceptionally proud Officer in Charge moment. Our cadets continue to push themselves, rise to every challenge, and remind us just how capable and inspiring they truly are.

The hard work, commitment, teamwork and determination on display was outstanding, the future is very bright for Trinity and Edinburgh district!

Well done to every single cadet who represented us. You should be extremely proud!

PO Lonie.
