Hebridean Housing Partnership 20th Anniversary 20k Grant

As part of HHP 20th anniversary celebrations, they're launching the HHP 20th Anniversary Grant Fund.

£20,000 is availableto support charities, tenant and residents' groups, and voluntary organisations delivering projects that benefit HHP tenants and communities across the Outer Hebrides. The fund is available for projects that make a positive difference locally and leave a lasting impact.
Grants of up to £5,000 are available, with applications now open.

Successful applicants notified: after the November 2026 Board Meeting.

Screen Argyll Animation Academy is back this year with an online course for 16 – 25 year olds for young people across Scotland! A great option for young creatives interested in animation, visual storytelling or curious about a career in the film industry. Participants will work together to watch, experiment, create and learn about animation in a variety of forms.

Animation Academy includes:

Hands-on filmmaking workshops where you will be given the tools needed to develop an idea from rough sketch to big Screen

Opportunities to work with professional animators and film makers
Developing skills in model making / animation techniques / sound design / story

Making animations and presenting these at an online screening event which you create and coordinate

Industry sessions with animators, producers, organisations and festival directors

An optional online pass to attend Manchester Animation Festival

As part of Scotland's Play Park Renewal Programme, the Scottish Government want to hear from families across Scotland about their local play spaces.

Play Scotland are coordinating the research and your responses will be used to evaluate current practice and inform future policy, so it is really important to do!

We recently took four young people away to Big Ideas Weekend, a youth conference hosted by Youth Scotland in Stirling. They did a brilliant job representing our community, sharing their voices, and connecting with other young people from across Scotland. Thank you to Young Islanders Network , Orkney Youth Forum and Youth Scotland for a brilliant weekend.

Some of our fantastic members of Shetland Youth Voice are heading south to Stirling to take part in Youth Scotland’s Big Ideas event!

It’s a great opportunity for young people from across Scotland to come together, share their ideas, have their voices heard and help shape the future of youth work.

A huge thank you to the Young Islanders Network for providing funding to support our young people to attend this fantastic opportunity.

Getting to Big Ideas is no mean feat for our Islanders. The early arrivals had the opportunity to go out on a trip to Wallace Monument on Friday before the weekend kicked off.

We've had an absolutely incredible week in Argyll & Bute on the second leg of our roadshow. We've worked with young people from 7 of the islands, having their voices heard about island life. It's been so inspiring to hear their stories and pitch ideas for community impact. Working in partnership with Argyll Community Housing Association - ACHA Group young people can lead on delivering these small scale projects for change with community grant funding.
