Some exciting event during October school holiday. We have taken into account all your feedback and will now run a FAMILY FRIENDLY SEWING/CRAFT session on Monday 19th October. The class will take place during our regular sewing session between 10 am and 12 noon in the East Hall of Granton Parish Church, Edinburgh. All materials will be provided, we only asked that all the children will be accompanied by responsible adults💚🪡🌧

We would like to invite all the local residents for our final BEACH CLEANING event in 2026 at Wardie Bay on Friday 30th October. We are very grateful to R2 for their ongoing support in organising our litter picking events. Few events in October including FREE plant share organised in partnership with Granton Community Gardeners and The Salvation Army United Kingdom and Ireland Territory. We also have a good selection of warm knitwear and jackets and do welcome DONATIONS OF WINTER CLOTHES AND SHOES of all ages and sizes (we do not only accept baby clothes). Some great news for all our weavers and crafters, we now have the dates for our FREE WEAVING CLASSES at Granton Parish Church, Edinburgh / Granton Goes Greener. The sessions will all take place in the church session room, just walk to the green door of the West Hall and you will find us. HARVEST FESTIVAL 2026: Sat 26th September 3-5.30pm at the community garden (10 Wardieburn Road). With Ama-zing Harmonies, Granton Garden Bakery, and others!

We're looking forward to celebrating, and you're all invited! Free event.

All apple dessert entries should be delivered by 3.30pm. We can provide local apples on the two Wednesday afternoons before, come to the garden to collect. First prize is a £20 gift voucher for Granton Garden Bakery.

It has been around 6 years since we have been running FREE community sewing classes at Granton Goes Greener delivered by our lovely tutor from Remode Collective- Monika. The classes have been a huge success and many people have attended them, creating some amazing projects from handbags, dresses, swimwear, skirts, toys or simply inserting a zip or altering trousers. Here are some numbers from our sewing class report covering the last 8 months; 56-number of people, who attended the classes, 48%-our ethnic minority attendees, 40%-overall improvement in ones sewing skills after attending our classes, 38-number of free classes we delivered in the last 8 months.
All our participants have agreed that the class is an amazing platform for socialising, having some quality time with like minded people and improving ones confidence and wellbeing.

Just a reminder that we have an amazing FREE COMMUNITY BOOKSHELF at Granton Parish Church, Edinburgh. It is accessible 24/7 and located by the church gate on Boswall Parkway. During the opening of Granton Goes Greener (Wednesday and Thursday 3-4 PM and Friday 11:30-1 PM), you can also access our bigger free bookshelf in the West Hall of the church with a broad selection of adult and children books including some books in polish and other languages📗📘📕🍂
