Great event to take part in💚💚💚

Less than two weeks to go until the Big Forth Cleanup!
28th, 29th,30th August

We’re calling on people all around the Firth of Forth coastline to join us and this is a special callout to folk in East Lothian who might be interested in organising or joining a beach clean along our coastline!

We already have a few beach cleans taking place in east Lothian, but we’d love to see even more communities getting involved!

When you register your beach clean, you’ll have the opportunity to add it to the Big Forth Cleanup map. You’ll also receive lots of useful information, including:

📍 Information to help you plan your event
🗑️ Guidance on waste disposal from your local authority

Every clean makes a difference, so why not get involved and help us make an even bigger impact along the East Lothian coastline?

After a short break, WE ARE NOW ACCEPTING DONATIONS and we ask you to bring them keeping in mind seasonal needs (Summer/light Autumn clothes at the moment)👕👖🩱. Just a reminder of our basic rules;
-donate what you would happily wear yourself, make sure all donated clothes are CLEAN, with NO RIPS and NO STAINS,
-donate during our opening hours (Wednesday and Thursday 3-4 and Friday 11:30-1 PM) or email to arrange a drop off, DO NOT LEAVE ANY DONTIONS OUTISDE THE CHURCH,
-we accept ONLY CLOTHES and SHOES plus belts and bags, NO TOYS, NO HOUSEHOLD ITEMS,
-we DO NOT ACCEPT BABY CLOTHES

Just a reminder that we are open as usual this week at Granton Goes Greener and apart from some amazing FREE preloved clothes, we also have a great selection of FREE BOOKS in both our indoor and outdoor library at Granton Parish Church, Edinburgh. The outdoor book library is by the church gate on Boswall Parkway and accessible 24/7. The indoor one-at the West Hall of the church and always open to the public during our operational hours (Wednesday and Thursday 3-4 PM and Friday 11:30-1 PM). Hope to see you at some point📚📕📘📗

This coming week at Granton Goes Greener we will be focusing on sewing and have 2 FREE sewing events on offer;
-Monday 3rd August-fabric picture hand stitching session open also for CHILDREN (must be accompanied by an adult), usual time 10-12 noon. There will be no other sewing option on the day, we will all be making some hand stitched fabric pictures,
-Thursday 6th August- first Thursday of the month regular evening sewing class, ADULTS ONLY.
We would like to ask everyone interested in the classes to arrive on time and help tidying up after the class. There is no need to register, all the classes are drop-ins💚💚💚

Taking into account all your feedback and how popular our family picture hand stitching workshop at the Climate Festival was, we are now delighted to invite all the local families with children (CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT) to the same workshop at Granton Parish Church, Edinburgh. This is a completely FREE activity and it will take place during our usual sewing class on Monday 3rd August between 10 am and 12 noon. No booking required, all we asked for is to arrive on time. After that, the sewing classes will continue as usual and they remain ADULTS ONLY. Just a reminder that at Share'n'Wear (FREE preloved clothes and shoes), we operate as usual during summer holiday and a lovely selection of summer clothes of various sizes. based at Granton Parish Church, Edinburgh, we are open on the following days;
-Wednesday, Thursday 3-4 PM,
-Friday 11:30-1 PM.

Are you going on holiday? Planning to visit a local beach, but have no swimming suit? Why not to visit our Share'n'Wear at Granton Parish Church, Edinburgh and get some preloved summer clothes completely FREE🩳👙👗? We do not have any restrictions when it comes to accessing our clothes, does not matter if you are financially struggling, use preloved clothes for environmental reason or just want to try something new. We are open during the summer holiday every Wednesday and Thursday from 3-4 PM and on Fridays from 11:30-1 PM (apart from tomorrow-Friday 10th July, when we are closed for one day).
