Today, on Global Wellness Day, we're celebrating the power of small choices that make a big difference.

Wellness is about those everyday moments when we choose to be kind to ourselves, listen to our needs, and make our wellbeing a priority.

At the PBC Foundation, wellness is at the heart of our services. That's why Choose Me Tuesday encourages people to take a moment each week to focus on themselves, because looking after your wellbeing is one of the most important investments you can make.

Today, we invite you to take one positive step for you. Whether it's taking a break, getting active, connecting with loved ones, or simply giving yourself permission to rest, make that choice count.

One action. One moment. One choice to put yourself first.

Our latest Q&A with Prof David Jones and Robert Mitchell-Thain is now available on our YouTube channel and can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/-cpce2NztS8

There is also a new mini video available focussing on a topic covered in the Q&A: 'PBC and exercise and muscle function' in which Prof David Jones discusses exercising with PBC, what happens in the muscles, what this means, and how it relates to fatigue.

Previous Q&As and other videos are also available on our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/pbcfoundation

Please remember that these Q&As do not take the place of a consultation with your own clinician – we aim to provide general medical information and not medical advice in these sessions. We will generalise your questions to support that, if you need help with a more detailed issue, please contact us on the helpline +44 (0)131 556 6811.

** New research study opportunity from Newcastle University **

The study aims to improve the support given to transplant recipients who would like to return to work.

You can take part if you have had a kidney, liver, lung, or heart transplant, you are in paid employment or searching for paid employment after having your transplant, you are over 18 years old, and it has been between 6 months and 5 years since your transplant.

Interviews are done remotely and will last about 1 hour. The interview will include talking about your experiences of looking for or starting work, what made this process easier or more difficult, and if you had any support with this process and whether the support was helpful.

In our final post for Volunteers' Week, we hear from Cheryll, Patient Services Manager at the PBC Foundation:

I want to take a moment to recognise and celebrate our incredible volunteer network.

As Patient Services Manager, I see first hand the difference our volunteers make every single day. Through their kindness, dedication, and compassion, they help create a supportive community where nobody living with PBC feels alone.

Our volunteers are at the heart of so much we do, helping to bring people together and strengthen our community.

Thank you to each and every one of you for the time, care, and energy you give. Your support truly makes a difference.
