EUSOG are delighted to announce that proposals for our February and April 2027 shows are now open! 🎉
The Edinburgh University Savoy Opera Group puts on 3 shows a year: a main term musical in February, a Gilbert and Sullivan show in early April and a summer show at the Fringe. Previous spectacular winter musicals include ‘Into The Woods’, ‘Singin’ In The Rain’ and ‘Little Shop of Horrors’, and our G&S shows are always brilliant fun for all involved and receive rave reviews, with recent examples like ‘Ruddigore’ and ‘Princess Ida’.
If you are interested in being a Director, Musical Director, Choreographer, Producer, or Production Manager, we would love to hear from you! You can apply for any of these positions, with or without a show proposal, and with or without a show team. However, if you are applying as a group, we ask that you have ALL of the core creatives assembled, i.e. Director(s), Musical Director(s) and Choreographer(s). You can also apply for an assistant position for all of these roles.
Information packs with more details on applying, as well as an exemplar proposal, can be found in our Instagram bio. The exemplar proposal includes a show vision, prior experience, and how you would deal with show-specific issues. Your proposal need does not need to be as graphically well-presented, nor as comprehensive as the exemplar, particularly if you are proposing as an individual. Your ideas are what matter most!

Do note that you are able to apply for roles on both shows. In fact, you are able to be a part of both shows in any capacity (for example, auditioning for one and being on the team for the other).
