We are floating after hearing all the lovely feedback from audiences at Float 🫧

We caught up with some parents right after they experienced Float with their babies over the past few weeks . Have a listen to some of the lovely things they had to say…💬

A lovely feature from the BBC Scotland News on Float by Kerry Cleland and company 🤩

Great to see baby theatre getting the recognition it deserves. It’s wonderful to see the BBC shining a light on the importance of creating space for babies and families.

Huge congratulations to the Float team. A beautiful reminder that it’s never too early to experience live performance.

That's a wrap for Float by Kerry Cleland and Company at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 🎉

We are SO proud of the whole Float team ❤ A massive thank you to the Float Team, Pleasance Theatre and EICC for all your support, and to Made In Scotland for understanding the importance of theatre for young audiences.

Over the past two weeks, we’ve had the absolute joy meeting over 600 babies and their grown-ups. Thank you for coming to Float and joining us in our magical world ✨

And, of course, what better way to celebrate the end of the run than with another Starcatchers 20th Birthday cake 🎂

It was lovely to welcome families from our community groups along to experience Float by Kerry Cleland and Company🌊

We brought together families from Expecting Something and Cashback for Young Parents, creating a space to relax, explore and enjoy the sensory world of Float together.

We loved hearing what families thought:

💬 “It was nice relaxing, good for me having autism. Sounds were nice, J enjoyed the lights and water, and the dancy bit. Really enjoyed it.”

💬 “I really wasn't sure what to expect but I really enjoyed it and she (baby) loved it. She sat up on her own for the first time.”

💬 “Liked it, really good chill, good for crawlers.”

Expecting Something supports expectant parents and their babies through creative experiences, while Cashback for Young Parents with Fife Gingerbread provides opportunities for young parents and their children to play, explore and connect.

Presenting Float X Tongue Twister✨ The crossover nobody asked for… but everyone needs!

What happens when Float performers Maddie Broad, Kerry Cleland, Rachel Laird and Shiori Usui meet Scottish Theatre Producers Tongue Twister's Greg Sinclair?

An Ocean Dance Party, that's what! 🎉

Both shows are performing (literally next door to each other) at Pleasance Theatre EICC , they’re both part of the Made In Scotland , and costumes are both designed by the wonderful Alison Brown Threads

So, naturally, it only seemed right to bring these two brilliant shows together.

Two shows. One venue. A magical party 🎉

We think they make the perfect Edinburgh Festival Fringe combo. What do you think?

Joining us this evening for Float: Rest, recuperate, repeat? ✨

Follow the glamorous Shiori Usui to our Float space.

We’re inviting artists to experience the world of Float: a tranquil space featuring live performance where they can rest and reflect. Lie down, follow the journey of the water, and settle into a slower, deeper state of mind. Rest, recuperate, repeat.

We’re delighted to be partnering with the Edinburgh Festival Fringe to offer Float as a dedicated space where artists can pause, breathe and recharge amid the Festival.

Alongside the performance, members of the Health in Mind team will be available throughout the session should you like to take a moment to chat or find out more about the support they offer.

Originally created for babies and their parents and carers, this is the first time we’re sharing the Float experience specifically for adults only.

Come, settle in, and take a breath ☺️

✨ FLOAT IN THE PRESS ✨

We’re over the moon with the gorgeous response to Float by Kerry Cleland and Company 🤩

★★★★★ 5 stars from Berlyn Lee, Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

“I think it was a smashing success. We had just a brilliant time with our twins! They had so much fun that they fell asleep in the pillows before the show even ended (no easy feat with these two!). We can’t wait to see the next project by this lovely team!”

While Mark Fisher shared some beautiful words about Float in The Guardian's Fringe tips for families.

“Not just what a baby needs, Float is also what every parent needs… Quite the most beguiling show on the Fringe.”

We’re so grateful to everyone who has come and experienced Float with us so far! Looking forward to meeting more as we go into the last week of Float at Edinburgh Festival Fringe .
