Kiki meets Zen ✨️

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating , Wester Hailes Artists in Residence Kerry Cleland and Sam Jameson (aka Kiki and Zen) shared the joy of play across each other’s settings this week, bringing creative, playful experiences to children at Sighthill Early Years and Sighthill Nursery.

Zen played the xylophone and led a chilled-out version of hide-and-seek, while Kiki explored the stretchy world of pulling and pushing with the children.

"It was lovely to be able to introduce Zen to the children in my setting and to offer them a different energy and vibe to Kiki." Kerry

ISLAND opened at Aberdeen Performing Arts today to a sold-out run in 🀩

πŸ‘Ά But have you ever thought about what it's like to make theatre for babies?

"Where can you learn to make theatre for babies? Can you make a show for both baby and parent? Can you tell a story for babies? And is it okay to make work for babies when I can't and don't want to have children myself?"

These are just some of the questions that Niloo-Far Khan, ISLAND Associate Artist, explores in her latest blog.

Reflecting on shadowing Frozen Charlotte during the development of ISLAND, she shares insights into the creative process and her journey of making work for young audiences.

We loved reminiscing about the last 20 years of Starcatchers, with a few words from Co-Chief Executives Jennifer Phillips and Heather Armstrong, alongside beautiful illustrations by LouiseKirby and graphic design by .me .

Here's to another 20 years! πŸ₯‚
