If you want to make your cuppa all fancy, drop by our community table and grab a bottle of butterscotch syrup or a dollop of spiced chai.

* Full disclosure, this isn't actually the new look for our community table 🤣

The COSS foodbank gives out over 200 tins of meals each week. Just now we are down to our last 20 tins.

Are you able to help us out at all?

Could your workplace organise a food drive for us?

We would be really grateful for any donations so that we can keep supporting adults and children living in poverty in our community.

We had a great time at the Broomhouse Street Party last week. We chatted to lots of familiar faces and enjoyed meeting new ones as well.

The kids, and a fair few adults, had a shot at guessing our COSS Bear's birthday. The winner was Mario whose guess was the closest to the correct answer, 5th August, which totally coincidentally is the same as our CEO...

Thanks to everyone who came along to say hello, and to all the organisations who helped to put together such a fabulous community event.

Last week, our team visited Wester Hailes Library to distribute school shoes and supplies to local families.

It was lovely to see children choosing a few things to help them feel ready and excited for the new school year.

We had some lovely feedback from parents, who told us what a difference this support makes when the cost of getting children ready for school can be a real worry for them.

Last week we took 60 children, parents and carers to for a day of adventure, laughter and making memories together.

We are running extrememly low on stocks of:
Tinned meals
Tinned tuna
Pasta sauces
Tinned vegetables

If you are able to donate to us, please drop off at 3 Broomhouse Market between 9.30-2.30 Monday-Thursday, or 9.30-11.30 on Friday.

A polite reminder that we do not accept second hand donations.

This morning several bags of used items were dumped outside our office. The team had to gather everything up and will have to book a slot at the tip to dispose of it.

This is a waste of our valuable time and creates an unsightly mess for everyone using the shops in the area.

We are extremely grateful for donations of brand new items, and are open 9.30-2.30 Monday- Thursday to receive them.
