Unfortunately we are having to close our page temporarily but we hope at some point in the future to be able to reopen this again. We do not have enough members to allow us to continue to operate this page at the time being.

Our next committee meeting will be held on 11th March at 7pm in the Carrickvale Community Centre where we hope residents come along to help the group grow to support local issues as well as making improvements in our area.

We will in the meantime continue to post in our 3 noticeboards of any events and information which we feel will be of interest to our residents. These noticeboards are situated at:

Saughton Mains - Stenhouse Drive
Whitson in Stevenson Drive
Chemist at Stenhouse Cross

The local Community Council Elections are due to take place around May this year where we hope to have new members come on board. If you need to contact us please email: [email protected]

Thank you
SSMW CC

Pansy Walk Wednesday 31st January 2024 - all those parents dropping off their bairns to Balgreen Primary School are churning up the grass - Pansy Walk, the clue is in the name. Shocking!

A dog owner has let dog his poo outside a local residents house on Stevenson Drive and confronted the guy who said he didn't have a bag they offered to provide one and he started calling them names. There is a huge issue on Stevenson Drive with dog fouling in the Street. I myself report it at least twice a week as it’s within a few feet of my house and my neighbours. I’m not saying it the same person, but it disgusting not clearing up after your dog. Sad as it’s usually young kids who end up standing in it. Like the resident reporting this I take pride in this area and wish others would do the same.

Please not hate comments or foul language!
