Today we're proud to launch our new impact portal on our website, bringing together the stories, outcomes and achievements that have shaped the past year at Cyrenians.

At Cyrenians, we believe homelessness is not inevitable. That's why we work to tackle both the causes and consequences of homelessness through prevention, early intervention, support into a home and influencing change.

The new impact portal highlights the difference that relationship-based, trauma-informed support can make. Last year alone, we provided one-to-one support to more than 2,000 people and supported almost 6,400 more through activities, group support and access to food, skills and training.

But impact is never just about numbers. It's about people finding stability, connection, opportunity and hope for the future.

In this month's Scotsman column Deryck, a client of Cyrenians Hospital In-reach team, takes the time to share his experience of hospital stays, temporary accommodation and rough sleeping.

He tells us about how Susanne was able to help him find somewhere comfortable to stay once he was discharged from hospital, allowing him the time and space to feel better and reducing the risk of him having to rough sleep again.

We were pleased to host MSP for Falkirk East and Linlithgow, Martyn Day SNP , to visit Arnotdale House last week.

Our team at Falkirk gave him the grand tour, as we spoke about our work with some of his constituents that are most acutely at risk of homelessness – young people disengaging with school, and those coming out of prison.

We look forward to working with Martyn Day more in the coming years!

As a Trustee, you'll play a vital role in shaping strategy, supporting good governance, and ensuring Cyrenians can continue delivering life-changing support to individuals and families across Scotland. This is an opportunity to use your skills, experience and perspective to make a meaningful difference while developing your own leadership and governance experience.

We welcome applications from people with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. In particular, we are keen to hear from individuals who can help broaden the diversity of perspectives on our Board, including people from minority ethnic backgrounds, women and disabled people.

We're delighted to announce a new partnership with Trainline!

At Cyrenians, we know that strong connections can change lives. That's why we're excited to be partnering with Trainline, bringing together two organisations that believe in the power of connection, opportunity and community.

Together, we'll be raising vital funds, creating meaningful volunteering opportunities, and increasing awareness of homelessness across Scotland. To launch the partnership, 12 Trainline colleagues have already volunteered at our Felix Depot, helping distribute 7,845kg of food, the equivalent of 18,678 meals for people facing hardship.

A huge thank you to everyone at Trainline for choosing to support Cyrenians. Together we're tackling the causes and consequences of homelessness by helping people build stronger connections, build foundations, and move towards a more positive future.

Give back to your community and help guide the financial stewardship of our work to prevent and respond to homelessness across Edinburgh and beyond.

As Treasurer, you will bring financial insight, constructive challenge and clear advice to Board discussions. Working alongside fellow trustees, the Chief Executive and Director of Finance & Corporate Services, you will help oversee budgets, accounts, controls, risk, sustainability and statutory reporting.

Calling all frontline workers. Join us as part of All in for Change and help influence the way homelessness is addressed in Scotland.

All in for Change is a collaborative project facilitated by Homeless Network Scotland and Cyrenians which brings together people who are passionate about ending homelessness. At the heart of the work is our Change Team – those with expertise in what homelessness looks and feels like, either through their own experiences or through working in a direct support or advice role.

The Change Team act as a bridge between local and national policy and practice – and we have a seat at the top table. If you’re passionate about supporting people and want to work alongside people with lived experience and decision makers to shape the future, get in touch.
