Are you an HCPC-Registered Creative Arts Therapist ready to build your own practice, and looking for ways to build it in community with other creative therapists?

CATS is a dedicated shared space for registered art, music, and dramatherapists in Edinburgh. We’re expanding from 17 to 30 practitioners, and we have 13 spaces open.

Whether you’re newly qualified or new to private practice, you’ll get a ready-made space, a community of peers, and a framework built around sustainable, ethical practice, not just a room to rent.

Full details on what’s included and how to join are on our website • link in bio.

• Are you an HCPC registered music, art or drama therapist (or organisation providing these forms of therapy) in Glasgow or surrounding areas? •
• Do you offer support for free or on a sliding scale? •

• At CATS we take offering mental health and wellbeing support very seriously, and this includes signposting to similar services that would be closer to the person searching for support and reduce the barriers of accessibility through visibility, whether it’s for CATS or other services •

• As such we are collating contact information from therapists/organisations who work within a sliding scale similar to our own •

• We are starting with Glasgow first as this is the furthest place we have had referrals from in Scotland • So if this is you please get in touch through our email which you can find in our bio and or website •

CATS has officially been open for over a year, and in that time, we’ve grown (and continue to grow) into a thriving creative therapeutic community.

Over the last year, we’ve:
• Welcomed 17 Art, Music & Dramatherapists
• Built partnerships with the community and third sector organisations
• Secured funding to expand accessibility and outreach
• Developed a growing referral pathway with increasing therapist capacity
• Supported community programmes, therapeutic groups, and refugee outreach
• Created a collaborative space focused on sustainable, supported creative practice
We’re now expanding our therapist network and looking for HCPC- or UKCP-registered creative psychotherapists to join us.

CATS offers:

🐈‍⬛ Creative therapy spaces
🐈‍⬛ Art materials & storage
🐈‍⬛ Group supervision* & peer support
🐈‍⬛ Referral support
🐈‍⬛ Monthly CPD*
🐈‍⬛ Opportunities for outreach & funded projects

If you’re looking for a supportive, community-led space to grow your practice, we’d love to hear from you.

*These are included in our Tier 3 rates but are available as add ons and pending training capacity to Tier 2
