HopScotch provides free respite breaks for children living in Scotland

We're absolutely delighted to share that we raised an incredible £17,574 at Thursday night’s HopScotch Charity Ball! 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Ghillie Dhu on 1st October. Your generosity, energy and support made the evening what it was, and every pound raised will go directly towards helping the children and families HopScotch supports.

Our Charity Ball is just around the corner, and we'd be so grateful for a little help 💛

On 1st October we're heading to Ghillie Dhu in Edinburgh for a night of fundraising, and we're putting together our raffle and auction prizes. If you can donate something, however big or small, it would mean the world. Even a spare bottle, a gift set or a voucher can make a real difference.

Every penny raised helps children and families enjoy time together at Ardvullin House, a break many of them really need.

This is Ardvullin House, a place where children can simply be children. 🏡

Fresh air, open space, new friendships and a proper break from everyday life. For many of the children who stay with us, it's their first holiday away from home, and every stay is made possible by the people who support HopScotch. ❤️

There's still time to get tickets to our ball in Edinburgh on the 1st October and support us in making this happen.

Just 2 tables left for the HopScotch Charity Ball 2026 🎉

On Thursday 1st October, we're heading to Ghillie Dhu in Edinburgh for an evening of fine dining, live entertainment and dancing, all in support of the children and families we work with.

Your ticket includes:
🥂 A welcome drinks reception
🍽️ A three-course dinner
🎤 Live performances from Britain's Got Talent Golden Buzzer winner Vinnie McKee
🎟️ A raffle and auction
🎶 A DJ set into the night from Andrew Divine

Tickets are £100 per person, and you can book a single seat, half a table or a full table of 10.

🎉 Big news! HopScotch Children's Charity was recently awarded a brilliant £3,500 grant from the Scottish Children's Lottery and Jackpot Community Trust. 💛

This support means we can keep doing what we do best - helping children and families across Scotland. None of this is possible without everyone who plays the lottery, so to every player and every ticket: thank you. You're helping us make a real difference.

What are the chances? Pretty good, when you've got supporters like these. ✨

It's Monday again - which means another group is ready to begin their HopScotch adventure.

Arrival day can be a mixture of nerves and excitement for our little ones. But the first thing on arrival (after the safety tour) is to get them settled in and give them their HopScotch caps and Explorers Packs for the week ahead!

You can sponsor a child's explorers pack for £30. It includes a torch, hat, journal, and a cuddly Highland coo – giving one child the chance to discover, record and cherish their week.

We were delighted to welcome Falkirk YC to HopScotch earlier this summer for a trip up into the Highland mountains 🏔️

It's always a joy seeing the kids explore, breathe in that fresh mountain air, and make memories that'll stay with them for years to come. Here's a few snaps from one of the days! 📸
