HealthTech Society at MWC/4YFN !! 🚀

Earlier this month, two of our committee members, Angel & Charlotte, attended the Global Health Connector Summit at 4YFN/MWC 2026 — alongside 150+ healthtech startups from 20+ countries 🌍

Some key takeaways:

💡 Healthcare innovation isn’t just about technology — implementation within health systems is the real challenge.

📊 We are moving from episodic care to continuous health monitoring, with sensors, wearables and home diagnostics playing a bigger role.

🤝 Health innovation requires collaboration across medicine, engineering, economics and policy.

This is exactly what we’re about at HealthTech Society —
🌟bringing people from different backgrounds together to build the future of healthcare (just like in our recent Innovation Programme 👀)

Super inspiring to speak with founders building across AI, diagnostics, and digital health — and hear honestly about what it takes to bring ideas into real healthcare systems 🏥

We met some amazing people…
👀📣 stay tuned — we might be bringing a few back to speak with our members soon…

Huge thank you to Global Health Connector for bringing us along and for creating such a diverse and inspiring space! 🏘️👥

🔈🔈Hey everyone!! We are back with an online series covering all things medtech!

We are bringing together some of the leading minds in their fields to share some of their perspectives on certain issues!

First, we have Dr Frederik Wemeling from the Karolinska Institutet in Sweden 🇸🇪🇸🇪, with a talk on Implementations of custom CRISPR screens for discovery, specifically in the context of autoimmunity and cancer🧪🔬

Dr Wemeling is a PI in the Rheumatology Unit, and his research group uses molecular biology tools generating in vivo and in vitro models to identify drug targets 💊 and describe basic biological processes in autoimmunity and cancer immunology.

We hope to see you there ‼️‼️
