Next week we’re set to celebrate the people, organisations and companies which sustain Edinburgh’s vibrant music scene!

The evening will provide a platform for a broad range of individuals and organisations in the capital - from grassroots initiatives to major events - and will highlight the creative, social and economic benefits they generate. It will serve as a forum for attendees to raise the challenges they face and what needs to be done to ensure that the sector can flourish.

We return to Leith Arches next week to celebrate the people, organisations and companies which sustain Edinburgh’s music scene!

Taking place on Thursday 26 March, the event will feature a panel and forum, bringing together artists, charities, clubs, collectives, educators, festivals, labels, media, promoters, record shops, venues and others who make the community.

The evening will provide a platform for attendees to raise the challenges they face and what needs to be done to ensure that the sector can flourish.

Next week’s Born To Be Wide sync panel is set to feature speakers who have worked on a broad range of productions including Black Mirror, Top Gear, Saturday Night Live, The Crown, The Witcher and The Gentlemen.

Taking place at Leith Arches on Thursday 29 January it will feature music supervisors Isaac Allaway (Feel For Music, Edinburgh), Lena Obara (Sector C, Berlin) and Lorna Hall (Lala Music, London). They are joined by producer/songwriter Dan Gautreau (First Cut Music, Kingdom of Fife).

The discussion will focus on how the sector can be developed in Scotland and creating new income opportunities for artists, publishers and labels, with speakers offering practical insights for placing music in film, advertising, games, tv and trailers.

Following the panel, guests will have an opportunity to meet and socialise, with speakers playing a selection of tracks from their favourite placements.
